Return stay, this time for 7 days - 1st since Covid began. Mid-scale hotel located adjacent to a golf course. Although I don't play golf, the location is with a tranquil setting. Essentially the same features as what we experienced on our last visit. Rooms comfortable & quiet without opulence.. On-site self serve laundry & large car park without a nightly fee. Resort-style pool with spa. Breakfast & bar was of quite a high standard although the complimentary Accor member drinks were limited to generic wine & beer only - a bit disappointing for a long-standing Platinum member.....Loved the option of being able to skip room service on some days for a $20 credit which was able to be put towards restaurant or bar charges. Only problem is that we only discovered this by chance with a small flyer located on the 'do not disturb' tag on the room door handle - no one at reception pointed this out & while we used this feature 3 times, it was only recorded once, requiring us to manually request the credit. Additionally, when we did have our room service, domestic staff forgot to replace our empty tissue box despite me leaving the empty box in the bathroom sink. Later on, When I asked the female attendant at the reception desk for a new box, she indicated that she would get someone to bring a box up to our room but it never eventuated until the domestic services came the next morning. In short, a pleasant stay with a few teething problems that shouldn't be too hard to fix.

Overall an okay stay, currently buildings being painted. Rooms in particular bathrooms need a facelift. Not busy when we stayed so enjoyed our stay. Pools and the spa were nice. Golf course view was pleasant . Plenty of parking. Breakfast menu was a bit repetitive ie scrambled eggs every day but still a nice selection. Restaurant supervisor not friendly so rest of staff a bit on edge. Reception were lovely and lovely gardens . No lifts so if you have heavy suitcases get a room on ground floor. Only negative was when we ordered takeaway menu which was disappointing threw it in bin. We let reception know as it was poor.

I have been to this properly many times now and the last time, was disappointing. Me and my boys stayed here last month on a Saturday. We waited for a long time as our room wasn’t ready at 2pm. They gave us two complimentary welcome drinks. We stayed at the bar and had some snacks while waiting for our room to be ready. At 2:40pm, I went back to reception and the lady said room still wasn’t ready. I had to ask the staff to ask the housekeeping as it’s after 2.30 pm but they didn’t ask housekeeping. Unbelievable! They said they will call me when it’s ready. The boys were starting to be impatient and even asked me if I will get a refund for our stay. After 3pm, no calls! I have to come to reception again to ask. That’s too late and one hour wasted on waiting. It’s a guaranteed 2pm check in. You guys should work on your housekeeping services. I get that you’re busy on a weekend but should the guests have to adjust, suffer and just suck it up? Get enough staff to clean the rooms, it’s guaranteed 2pm check in regardless it a weekend or not. Reception staff weren’t so approachable and hospitable either. Maybe try smiling and connecting to guests more?

Clean rooms but too cold to swim - food was great and parking was close enough across the road - good service and comfortable beds - got late check out so slept in a bit - will return again one day soon - golf course right across the road for those that play
