Good location and imposing building created from the original school. Good historical location . Best deals for Accor Plus members .Large variety of rooms and prices need careful scrutiny of Web sites and reviews.In some areas the rooms are dated , need regrouting and tiling for example. And better tech facilities. Very attentive staff helped sort out our familiarisation.

Would stay again!

We really enjoyed our stay. We stayed in a balcony king room as part of the winter sip and stay Kiama package. The package included a bottle of wine from a neighbouring winery, brekkie at the hotel restaurant, and a winery tasting etc. When we arrived we were told no tastings on the weekend but staff did offer to follow up and see if they could make an exception. No issue but this should be indicated on the advertisement. No conclusion in whether we would be able to be accommodated so we just left it. Had we been super interested we would have gone to the winery anyway but we had other plans. In terms of the room, it was quite basic. It feels like it's dying for an update. Our bathroom had two spots for towel rails on the wall which had been taken off and bolts left behind. There was some mould at the rear of the bathroom sink which isn't unusual for a hotel unfortunately. Had we stayed expecting luxury I'd say we'd have been disappointed but I was relatively realistic in my expectations as I stayed previously in around 2012 and did have recollections of same. It is just such an incredibly beautiful spot! And the staff were great! Our room overlooked minamurra street and we had a lovely huge tree right outside our balcony. The brekkie was lovely, overlooking the ocean watching whale spouts in the distance. Dinner the night of our arrival at Yves was also great and they were wonderful to accommodate some dietary requirements.

Delightful experience in the heart of Kiama A stones throw from the main attraction (The Blowhole) and a 5 minute walk to fantastic restaurants and shops in the area. Highly recommend for the ambiance and vibe. Also, side quest, if ya like good food and experiences — Little Betty’s was outta this world good with incredible service. Check it out. Pros: -seamless checkin -kitchenette -beautiful bathroom and shower -comfy bed Cons: -while we didn’t use it much the tv only supporting local cable with no streaming options was a bit lame for the price paid Overall, check it out, worth the price and the experience.

Room 225... What a Disappointment

Room 225, what an appalling room I was given, there were dirty/grubby marks on walls, the curtains certainly needed repairing/washing. The furniture was very outdated and badly scratched/ scuffed. The Bathroom and shower are in need of a good scrub with bleach, and the balcony and outdoor furniture could also do with a good clean. To really make my stay the bed was very lumpy and so uncomfortable. I was only staying 1 night and the cost was $398.00, I used my points plus cash and I certainly didn't get value for money. I also took several photo's of the state of the room. Just to add this wasn't my first stay at this hotel. I found all the staff I interacted with very pleasant and helpful.

Attended a birthday function at Yves last Wednesday while the bar staff and serving staff were all great the kitchen staff should all be terminated immediately the food was at best ordinary. The cauliflower steaks were dry and tasteless. The limited menu due to there being 15 of us was designed for ease of service nothing could be further from the truth, I ordered third inline my meal came out second last. Sorry but this is a extremely poor excuse for a bistro!
