Nice hotel & room spoiled by unadvised parking charges.

Our 'de luxe King' room seems pretty good but, I have to say, on Expedia it said there was "self-parking available" but it did not say "this is going to cost you AUD 40 per night". Normally I do not mind paying for parking, after all it is occupying valuable real estate, but if they had been upfront with the charge we may have picked a different, out of town hotel where parking is free. Also, since Novotel have subcontracted it out it was annoying to have to go online, fill in a ton of details (credit card number, home address, phone number, inside leg measurement etc which the hotel already has) just for the privilege of being stiffed AUD 40.00 to park the damn car overnight!

We stayed for two nights, I’m an ALL silver member and on check in there was zero recognition of this, sounds super snobby but I stick to Accor branded hotels to build this status and enjoy its perks. Generally on checkin as a silver you get a drinks voucher per person staying, this was not the case here. The bathroom was absolutely feral, the tiles were also super slippery when wet including in the shower. There was a broken lamp in the room, a cupboard that wouldn’t close and a few other bits of wear around the room that really should be addressed. We slept in on Sunday morning and had the “do not disturb” sign on our door, we went out around 1200 and I flipped the sign to say it was ready to be cleaned, despite the fact we did this, the room wasn’t made up, we came back briefly and discovered this, we headed out again (in a rush so no time to stop at reception) and when I had a chance to call I tried to see if reception could arrange to have it fixed but I got fed up after sitting on hold for nearly 10min without the call getting answered and gave up. The shining light for this hotel was the meal I ordered from room service, at $28 I feel it was reasonably priced, the Paneer Masala with fresh roti was absolutely delicious. The hotel is also in a great spot for the L4 light rail, couple of steps out the door to the platform and only a few minutes down to Parramatta Station.

Expensive, Poor Sleep and No Active Customer Complaints Systeme

I had a terrible nights sleep due to the radio next door playing all night. I went to complain to reception during the night but the hotel phone didn't work. I complained to reception in the morning but nothing was done. I sent a complaint email to the motel, as per their website and have had no reply. I sent a complaint to the Accor 'customer care' email address and have had no reply. It's been two months and nothing. I have read similar complaints online about no response to complaints and they advise the only way to get a response is by using Trip Advisor. The room was very expensive, I had next to no sleep and then no response to my complaint. Why would anyone stay in an Accor "managed" motel again?

Where do we start. Check in was a complete nightmare. Once we got our room it was grubby, dirt marks on furniture and carpets. Bathroom needs renovations. Masking tape over broken tiles. Patchy paintwork. Mouldy grout joints. Rooms are noisy and dated. Not worth the money paid to stay here. Find somewhere else

My room was on the 7th floor. Unfortunately, my stay was very disappointing. The room was extremely noisy hearing road traffic in addition to extremely loud music playing all night and screaming from a group of homeless people who have set up camp across the street in the reserve. The air conditioning was also very loud and added to the disturbance. On top of this, the room was quite dark with poor lighting, which made it uncomfortable. I asked reception to move rooms and there were no spare rooms available. Reception gave me some ear plugs and informed me they call the police on a regular basis in regards to the music and screaming issue.Overall, I would not recommend this hotel if you are looking for a restful stay.
