Stayed for my mums Mother’s Day one night, was very disappointed, that the pool is being refurbished, this was not told at all on the site, then every 3nd Saturday is seafood buffet . But it was changed to Sunday lunch, and again we had no idea. Breakfast was average and staff were quite rude. Not much variety either. Also we had no idea where to start as the lady didn’t even show us .

As expected from this class of hotel, the rooms were well appointed, clean and comfortable. Room on 9th floor had reasonable views, a small balcony and was very quiet. Breakfast buffet had good selection of foods for Australian and Asian tastes. The evening meals were reasonably priced and tastefully presented

We recently stayed at the Pullman Cairns International and overall had a good experience. The hotel has a grand, classic feel, and you can tell there have been some recent upgrades. One downside during our stay was that the Pullman’s pool was closed for maintenance. The hotel offered alternatives by giving guests access to the Novotel and Reef Hotel Casino pools, which was a thoughtful solution, but it wasn’t quite the same as having the convenience of a pool on-site. On the upside, breakfast was excellent — a wide variety of options, fresh produce, and attentive service made it one of the highlights of the stay. Overall, the Pullman remains a solid choice in Cairns for its location, service, and comfort, but it’s worth checking ahead if amenities like the pool are important to you.

Stayed here recently with my whole family - the two teenagers and my better half. Location: Quite centrally located. Reef Fleet Terminal at walking distance, and so is the Cairns Convention Centre. Many eateries nearby, including a good indian restaurant. Services: Neat and spacious rooms, Excellent buffet breakfast option. Reception staff very courteous and responsive. Excellent view from the room balcony (was there for my room.) Downside: unavailability of room cleaning staff in evening and at night. Should there be any kind of issue such as water spillage in room or bathroom, one has to wait till morning for cleaning.

Conveniently located hotel at a walking distance to the marina and pier. Rooms are spacious and Harbour view room views are good. The staff, especially Georgia at the front desk, in general are friendly and welcoming. Unfortunately that is where the good part ends. As soon as you enter the hotel you are greeted by buckets and towels laid on the floor to collect water from the leaky ceiling. Throughout the hotel you will see patches on the ceiling where water leakage is rampant. During our stay we were greeted by dirty water in the shower. On asking the reception (getting them to pick up the call is an achievement), they said they had no idea when the water services will be normal. And we were supposed to use the same source as drinking water! Housekeeping was perhaps the biggest letdown - crockery were not replaced, soaps were not refilled. Apparently housekeeping stops working post 5pm so all the best if you need anything! Pool was closed during our stay for maintenance. I hope the management takes note of this, especially with serious issues like potable water that can pose health risks. It's a shame that a hotel with so much potential is going downhill so fast.
