Good location. Close to light rail, ferry terminals and train station. We booked two rooms for our stay. A three night stay for our friends and a room for ourselves for four nights. Our friends got a refurbished room and unfortunately we got an old unfurnished room with a very noisy air conditioner. I will add here that we had booked a refurbished room. On arrival to the room we immediately complained about the the aircon issue and the state of the room with indifference from the front desk staff member who did not offer a new room. Only after insisting firmly were we offered a new room which was refurbished and in excellent condition. The rest of our stay was without issue. All other staff were helpful and polite. On check out we spoke the the manager and felt that our issues has been acknowledged and heard. If your booking a stay here you won’t be disappointed. Make sure you ensure in writing that you have a refurbished room.

The location and quality of the Sebel Quay West Suites is beyond question. Our spectacular three bedroom suite over looking the Harbour Bridge, Opera House and the greater Eastern Harbour was stunning. The staff were excellent and the service is what we have come to expect at this hotel. the location is perfect for any stay in Sydney.

The whole family had a wonderful weekend away. We had 3 x 1 bedroom apartments and enjoyed the facilities on offer, the apartments were clean and spacious, the staff were exceptional and the dining experience was great. All in a great location on Sydney Harbour. Highly recommended a stay at The Sebel Quay West.

Great weekend inspite of the Rain

From the time we arrived until the time that we left, we felt all the staff were friendly and accommodating. The view from our room of the harbour was spectacular. Our weekend was full of torrential rain all weekend however this did not stop us from utilising the pool and spa area. We dined in the restaurant and had breakfast each morning and each meal was tasty. We also enjoyed our time in the bar.

3 Bedroom Penthouse

Overall hotel in perfect location within walking distance to the harbour. Staff were friendly and attended our needs. However we stayed in the 3 bedroom penthouse and furniture is quite outdated and needs replacing. Room was huge spacious with amazing views of the harbour with old furniture. Room definitely needs an upgrade.

This hotel is of a very high quality and our room was extremely clean and modern. The location is good and close to a lot of services. Swimming pool is very nice with magnificent views. Will be staying here again when in Sydney next time.

We have had one night stayed in The sebel Quay West Suites Sydney during Australian Day. The room has really nice views to the Sydney Harbure Bridge and Opera House. Also the equipements in the room have been renovated. We felt much comfortable. The staffs are freindly and nice.

Nice property however service was a little lacking

Everything was fine, location, room price etc however on the second day our ceiling starting leaking (from air con condensation) After calling reception they advised they'd send someone. A maintenance guy arrived, threw some towels over the wet carpet & left. I called reception & advised that I wanted to be moved to another room. They then tried to move us into a smaller room with worse views, despite the hotel being empty. I complained & they upgraded us to a marginally better room. I've stayed at lesser hotels before where I've been offered dinners, great upgrades for any inconvenience, at the sebel they treated us like WE were the inconvenience. Pretty poor service for a supposed 5 star hotel.

From start to finish this was a great place to stay. Right in the Rocks so walking everywhere was great. Staff attentive and courteous. Suite was nice and spacious, comfortable king bed, great shower, comfortable couch and great views of the Harbour Bridge and Barangaroo. Watching the boats on the harbour was fun- who knew! Kitchen was well supplied if you wanted to cook, but so many choices available we did not need this.

From the time we walked into the Sebel we were impressed. All staff were professional and friendly. Our stay was for our 13 year old daughter and her 2 friends, the looks on their faces when we walked into our apartment is something I won't forget. We knew there would be harbour views, but were not expecting the amazing views we had. Also, the staff provided a lovely card and sweets for her birthday which she was very excited about. I would definitely recommend.

All great except for one thing

I am a person with limited mobility so this apartment was great. Lets start with the most spectacular views. Full dining area, good size kitchen (could do with a coffee machine). 2 smallish bedrooms with king size beds very comfortable, A lounge area and two bathrooms. the shower is a struggle at my size. Now the one thing, the pool is very disabled friendly to get into however you need to walk 25 steps on slippery tiles to get there. this makes absolutely no sense. As a result I wouldn't stay here again. What's the point if I can't use the pool

Brilliant stay once again at Sebel with wonderful staff who are motivated to assist at all times. Special mention to Josh, Prakash and Sajal who ensured that our stay was brilliant. We had issues with the dishwasher and the rooms were changed the next day with no issue at all.

All Excellent Except for Accidental Double Charging for Suite

Wonderful experience diminished by being told on check out that Sebel Quay West Accidentally took the almost $1700.00 booking fee TWICE! Not a small sum, this caused a lot of anxiety in relation to becoming seriously overdrawn. At the end of the month with bills due and further travel commitments pending, this was a serious issue for us! A little disappointed it took almost half an hour to see a manager, and from a customer care point of view, felt that our situation wasn't truly appreciated. After discussion with the manager we were given some of the refund by cash and the balance as bank transfer. Unfortunately this put us in a situation where we were carrying a sizeable sum of cash to be deposited at our Building Society, which unfortunately does not have a Sydney Branch. Some places would not take this cash because of COVID, meaning we had to again use the possibly overdrawn account. Also the delay in our ability to deposit the cash delayed fixing up our bank account balance. Stress, stress, stress! We feel as if Sebel's mistake became our problem and they didn't really care about the inconvenience and stress caused. After the service we enjoyed during our stay, we were so disappointed that client satisfaction seemed no longer their goal the moment we checked out. They were not proactive in their assistance. We are still awaiting the promised follow up phone call to check the eft refund all received. Great Service, Terrible Guest Relations!

This is a quality property. Older in decor but it has everything you need. Well equipped kitchen including 2 bar fridges! A bathroom that not only has a lovely bath tub but storage! The bedroom is a good size with actual working curtains. The lounge dining area is very comfortable. The location is excellent for a stroll to The Rocks, Circular Quay, the city shops and restaurants. There are plenty in walking distance. The staff are friendly and helpful. The apartment is always spotless when you return. The room service restaurant food is not stunning but it is good quality and very tasty. If you don’t want the four walls of a hotel room for more than a couple of nights and the option to get in a few groceries for breakfast and dinner, this is an excellent option in many ways.

Amazing spot and we had great views of the harbour, and all the staff were very friendly and helpful to our needs Hotel was within walking distance to loads of restaurants and circular quay The only problem was no food was available on the Sunday night but it is totally understandable with covid rules and regulations

The place was in a great location, close to everything. However it is a bit noisy at times, the room are very close to each other, the privacy is not very good. Otherwise the room is clean any tidy, need to have more pillow option if possible. Thank you

Great location, close to Circular Quay and Wynyard. Easy walk to Opera House. Only criticism was there was nowhere to eat at the hotel. Rate advertised that breakfast was included. received two drink vouchers to compensate (used on water). No welcome drink or gift for platinum members.

Spent honeymoon here 25 years ago and was less than impressed on weekend . Room was not serviced , incorrect billing , requests for assistance and extra supplies never came . Even the remotes were missing . Don’t like to right negative post but you can imagine the wife’s comments . I love the Accor brand hopefully a one off

Really enjoyed our night at The Sebel Quay West Suites Sydney. Room was excellent and view was to die for. Staff very helpful with a few special requests we made. Loved the proximity to Circular Quay and the Bridge, there are a multitude of brilliant destinations within about 2km. We felt fresh sorrow for the Australian tourism industry, some of the best locations and venues around the harbour were deserted on what was a magnificent day. We would highly encourage Australians to get out and about, both from the point of view of the international tourists not being there so it is a quiet time to see the local beauty but also these folks need our support through these challenging times. We will definitely be back, thanks a million :)
