This hotel by far exceeded our expectations. In a fantastic location 5 minute walk from Darling Harbour and its bars, restaurants, nightlife, boat trips and tourist attractions. The bedrooms are quite small, but they have everything you need and although traffic was wizzing past outside our room, it did not disturb us. There’s a cosy lounge and bar area plus a gym with a shower, which we were able to use to freshen up after checkout before our evening flight, The staff were so friendly and helpful, especially Peter at reception who gave us maps, tips, advice etc to help make our stay as good as possible.

Awful overpriced hotel, tiny rooms, not even a full size queen bed, air conditioning wasn't working, no opening windows, could here everything in next door rooms, bathroom was pokey shower felt like you were going to fall through it. No water in bar fridge, ironing board was broken & fell on my foot while using!

Short stay of a couple of days. Very friendly and helpful team. Very comfy bed. Perfectly sized breakfast to kickstart the day with coffee in hand. Great lounge area for guests including wall art to impress. Very well priced drinks. Easy choice on where to stay next time we are wanting to see the waterside sights of Sydney.

You can’t miss the building – it stands out from the rest of the surroundings, it’s colourful, modern looking and just by looking at the building, you know it will be “arty” inside and yes, it is! The staff at Ibis Sydney Barangaroo are absolutely amazing and friendly. We felt so welcomed and not judged. Check-in was super-fast and efficient and we were given a key card to access our room and we were also advised that the sliding doors to the entry of the building closes by 10pm, for safety and security purposes but it’s all good… you can open the sliding doors with your key card. The accommodation is away from the hustle and bustle of Sydney city but it’s only a ten-minute walk away from the city and less if you want to go and visit The Rocks. No struggle to find our room, the number is painted on the door with large thick digits but kept with their theme “arty” – very easy on the eyes. Our room was compact, as mentioned in the overview on their web page, but it looked so fresh, clean and has all the necessary essentials you need. It comes with a sizeable working desk with an overhead lamp – perfect if you’re a worker, needing to touch up on your last-minute presentations or simply catch up on work, when traveling. Beds are comfortable and I was amazed that I couldn’t hear any traffic noise, I slept comfortably. Highly recommend this place for overnight or short stays and within the complex, you will find Lot 51 – café style breakfast, conveniently situated on Ground floor. You may have your breakfast on the go or dine in the comforts in their intimate lounge area. The barista makes the perfect coffee, he was the only one, running the show and handled all tasks with ease and a warm smile on his face. There’s a small range of breakfast options to choose from, we ordered Ham and Cheese Croissants, Fresh Fruit Pieces in a cup and a Chocolate Danish, accompanied with coffee and orange juice, most satisfying way to start my morning. Just pick and choose where you want to be seated and breakfast will be served at your chosen place. While you’re waiting for your breakfast to arrive, take some time to read a bit of history of ‘The Origins of Lot 51’ displayed on the wall, pretty interesting and other art pieces to admire. We didn’t wait long for our breakfast to arrive – the barista is super fast and efficient, highly recommend Lot 51 for a delicious start to your day and definitely Ibis Sydney Barangaroo for a comfortable and affordable stay.

Great location in Barangaroo with close access to eateries and the ferries at Barangaroo wharf. While a basic room, it was very clean and well presented. The desk was suitable to work at and facilities were good. Highly recommend for location.
