맡겨둔케이크와 3개의 쉐어플레이트, 커트러리, 아이스버킷을 프론트 데스크에 직접 가서 룸으로 요청하였으나 케이크만 덜렁 가져다주시길래 다른것고 요청했었으니 가져다달라고 다시 말씀드렸다. 한참을 기다려서 결국 받은거는 2개의 더러운 접시와 1갸의 커피소서 즉 커피받침대였다. 접시에는 더러운 풀떼기와 소스가 눌러붙어 있었으며 이게 5성급의 호텔 서비스가 맞나 의심이 갈정도였다. 바로 전화를 걸어서 I asked for three share plates before, but I’ve received two dirty plates and a coffee saucer. 라고 말을하니 전화받으시는 분은 못알아들으시고 나한테 so madam you need 2dirty plates? 라고 되물으셨다. 그래서 내가 직접 올라오셔서 그럼 체크해달라했더니 그건 안되다하셔서 내가 프론트 데스크로 더러운접시들과 커피소서를 들고 직접 내려갔다. 두명의 직원이있었는데 나를 응대해주시던 직원은 미안하다고 다른거로 바로 준비해주겠다고 하셨지만 형식적으로밖에 보이지않았고 바로 옆에는 나와 대화하던 직원분보다 더 높아보이는 직책을 가졌음에도 아무런 액션도 없었다. 그리고 룸으로 올라갔으나 한참을 기다려야 받을 수 있었다. 그것도 부페에서 쓰는 엄청 큰 접시를. 호텔에서는 그 후로 아무런 사과나 피드백도 없었디다. 직전에 묶었던 소피텔과 같은 5성급이지만 너무나도 다른 서비스와 응대였다. 정말 최악이었다. I requested that the cake I had left with the hotel, along with three share plates, cutlery, and an ice bucket, be delivered to my room by going to the front desk. However, only the cake was brought to me. I then reminded them about the other items. After waiting for a long time, what I eventually received were two dirty plates and a coffee saucer. The plates had leftover bits of food and sauce stuck to them, which made me seriously question whether this was the level of service expected from a 5-star hotel. I immediately called and said, “I asked for three share plates before, but I’ve received two dirty plates and a coffee saucer,” but the person on the phone did not understand and replied, “So madam, you need two dirty plates?” I then asked for someone to come upstairs to check, but I was told that was not possible. As a result, I had to carry the dirty plates and coffee saucer back to the front desk myself. There were two staff members at the desk. The one assisting me apologized and said they would prepare replacements immediately, but it felt purely formal. The other staff member, who seemed to hold a higher position, took no action. When the items were finally delivered to my room, I had to wait a long time again—and they were enormous plates used for the buffet. Since then, the hotel has provided no apology or feedback. Compared to my previous stay at Sofitel, another 5-star hotel, the service and response here were drastically different. It was truly the worst experience.

What you have described—receiving dirty crockery, repeated service failures, poor communication, and the lack of ownership shown by our team, is completely unacceptable and falls far below five-star standards. I am particularly concerned that you felt dismissed, misunderstood, and ultimately left without a meaningful apology or follow-up. This is not the level of care, professionalism, or attention we expect from our colleagues at Swissotel Sydney. Your comments have been escalated to our senior management team and shared directly with our front office and food & beverage leadership for urgent review and corrective action. We take matters of hygiene, service attitude, and accountability very seriously. I truly regret that we failed to deliver a positive experience and appreciate you taking the time to detail your concerns so clearly. 호텔입구 출입할 때 2박3일 내내 다른고객에게는 인사를 하면서 저희에겐 인사를 하지않더군요, 차별받는 느낌이었어요. 세이헬로우 어려운것도 아닌데 아이들에게 웃어주었으면 좋았을텐데 좋은인상을 받지 못했습니다. 체크인날 룸에 웰컴스낵과 졸업축하메시지는 세심하게 신경써주신것 같아 감동이었지만 출입문에 계신분들 인사좀 하셨으면 좋겠네요.

A very good hotel in Sydney's CBD, right next to the Westfield Mall and the observation tower. The room was nice and spacious, and the view from the 23rd floor was sensational. You need to allow a little extra time here and there – at check-in and check-out (both times only staffed by one person), and with the elevators (there are many from the ground floor to the upper reception, but for the rooms you have to go to a different area. There are only three elevators there, one of which was permanently out of order during my stay). Breakfast is good, though not exactly award-winning. Overall, a rather upscale (though somewhat dated in places) hotel, not really suitable for holidays with children, more business style.
