Great central location, perfect for staycation! Book the room with the lounge access! Worth it!!

Excellent location! Great girls staycation destination!! Stayed to celebrate friend's birthday in the executive suite with the lounge access. Took advantage of buffet breakfast(amazing! The hotel has own beehives on the rooftop...fresh honeycombs!!!), afternoon tea (sandwiches with one vegetarian option, cakes, scones) and pre dinner drinks and canape. Drinks included basic spirits, wine and beer, self serve. Stayed 3 nights, and canapes changed daily. 2 x basuc hot food (e.g. spring rolls, filo triangles, mini meat pie etc.), one always vegetarian. Plus cheese, cold meat, dips, crackers etc. Not an expansive menu but more than enough as pre dinner snack. We actually did not need to eat out. Suite had a bedroom and a separate dining/lounge area with a very convenient 2 way toilet with own basin, separate from the main bathroom. This was a hit for us 2 girls sharing the suite. We had the sofa bed made up in the lounge, so each had a bed and own space, too. Location is very central. Just around the corner from the Pitt st mall and across the road from the state theatre. Staff were all friendly and professional. Archie's bar was lovely for a drink or two. It does not have a harbour view, but excellent value for money and perfect for staycation!!!!

Lovely room upgrade to corner. Room had all the ammenities needed for an over night stay right next to shopping district and other attractions in CBD. We had dinner at 10 Stories which was nice (seats were not comfortable) we asked to move to a booth and enjoyed our experience. Breakfast the next morning had the basics nothing amazing for price. Limited selection of tea and coffee. Accomodation was made asking for a small container of lactose free milk. Overall a nice stay but with some many options in Sydney CBD for price I’m not sure if lives up to the price point.

We have booked for 6 nights and are regulate guests. As Accor platinum members we were given a ‘gold’ welcome gift in our room. We don’t receive a phone call (as we had inr he past ) & the change of exec hour times appears to be rather tight arsed. As everyone in exc were like vultures. The payment of a $50 holding fee is ridicules when you have all of our details . Sorry, but I’ve booked further down the road who have a longer exec club.

You will love the Swissotel if you like: loud aircon noise in your room, curtains in your room that don't block out the light at night, smoke alarms with bright red flashing LEDs directly above your bed, 10 minute queues for breakfast (even when there are numerous free tables set and ready to go), coffee machines that don't actually work in the breakfast restaurant (there is no fresh coffee in this '5 star' hotel), staff that ignore you when waiting to place an order at the bar, staff that promise to email your receipt when you check out but then never send it coupled with a 15 minute wait on the phone, listening to the same self congratulatory hold message over and over again when trying to get through to one of their 'helpful team members' to chase up said receipt. Its a comedy of errors. Clearly focused on the overseas tourist market comprised of guests who stay once and never return. Although, that said, I am a business traveler who stayed once, and I also will never return.
