After a mammoth refurbishment of every room with a total redesign of the hotel concept inspired by interior design heros, Chada, The Clarence Hotel has opened December 2024, as the most modern and chic boutique hotel in Sydney. Took the train from airport to Wynyard station and got off and walked about 10 minutes to hotel. Had a lot of luggage so glad we booked the bigger king room as we were there 8 nights. Excellent location near light rail, buses, sights and many restaurants and coffee shops. Coles grocery, pharmacy and beautiful QVB building right around the corner. Going the other direction you can walk short distance and escalator down to Barangaroo Wharf. Lots of fancy restaurants and atmosphere. We ate at a pleasant meal at the reasonably priced Pontoon Bar on the wharf. Hope to return. Nomi, Sofia and Maxime made it a 5 star experience for us.

Loved my two recent stays at The Clarence. It is perfectly located a short walk from food, shopping and the train to the airport. The rooms are lovely and contain everything needed for a short stay. The staff are very well chosen, with a special mention of Maxime on reception who charmingly accommodated my very basic attempts at speaking French and always had a smile. Sophia also a pleasure to talk to. The housekeeping staff were the friendliest I have met in a hotel. I'll definitely return, and am looking forward to trying the restaurant when it opens.

In a Sydney for a weekend by myself & chose this hotel for the location. It is a refurbished hotel all new features but the whole hotel was space limited. The building is very narrow with the rooms even more so. It is suitable for a single person, though space between the bed and the wall is less than 30 centimetres. With a couple the space would be very cramped. Staff were friendly and happy to store my luggage when I was leaving.

여행하기 정말 좋은 위치에 있습니다. 윈야드 역에서 도보로 5분 정도 걸리며 QVB 트램역에서도 매우 가깝습니다. 굉장히 안전한 지역이고 시내임에도 지나치게 붐비지 않는 구역에 위치해서 이동할 때 편했습니다. 또한 모든 직원들이 친절하고 도움이 되었습니다. 그리고 객실 인테리어가 매우 현대적이고 편안하게 배치되어 있어요. 특히 객실 내 소파와 테이블을 매우 유용하게 사용했습니다. 수건과 베드, 휴지통은 매일 정리해주시지만 바닥 청소는 따로 요청해야 하는 것 같아요. 그렇지만 전반적으로 리노베이션되었기 때문에 매우 깨끗하고 쾌적하였습니다. 다음에 다시 시드니 여행을 하게 된다면 이 호텔에 재방문하고 싶습니다.
