Whilst I accept our booking for today for 3 nights was non-refundable, we are able to go for the stay , as over the past two weeks , my wife has been suffering from diarrhoea, almost constantly . She’s undergoing tests for the condition , which seems more than just novovirus . The hotel have refused to make any goodwill gesture , sticking to the Booking.com terms for our particular room . We don’t have UK travel insurance cover . I’m disappointed at their lack of empathy for circumstances that have arisen . My wife just doesn’t get ill , so this problem is particularly worrying and stressful, but no reasonable person would expect us to go to the hotel and spend 3 nights confined to our room , effectively.

The room was nice and clean, basic but fit for purpose. We were in Cambridge for a company Christmas party. However, there was only 1 toilet for male/female/disabled in the bar area and there was no toilet roll and the seat was covered in excrement!!

We had an excellent stay here. Very close to the railway station and an easy walk into the City centre. Plenty of dining options and a lot of supermarkets. Our room was quite spacious with excellent WiFi. There as are discounts for Accor members at the cafe at reception and they had an excellent scheme if you skip the clean daily there is a five pound voucher you can redeem at the cafe. Very reasonable room rates and all in all a pleasant stay.

We always stay here when visiting friends/ relatives in Cambridge Location is brilliant if you're arriving by train Only 55 mins from King's Cross, not sure about car parking ? It took me around 20 mins to walk into the city centre via some nice parks.
