Memorable - for the wrong reasons!

I've been before, but the two gentlemen on Reception were uncommunicative and sniffed - literally - throughout the whole process. At midnight, as I was going to sleep, a female Receptionist came in with another guest unannounced. They were looking for a lost charger but I had to lie there naked under my duvet explaining - repeatedly - that it wasn't in my room. If that had happened to a female guest with a male receptionist there would have been serious repercussions.

Good location, basic but comfortable room, everything that I needed for a short stay.

No frills by nature, this hotel is a handy place to stay when on a budget. Very good value. The surrounding area while not salubrious is well located being only about a 10 minute walk from Aldgate. Having the Elizabeth Line stopping just across the road has made it really convenient to get anywhere very quickly. The night bus stops right opposite also so you don't have to walk far late at night. It's clean and airy and the staff are friendly.
