ibis Ambassador Seoul Insadong

During my recent stay at the Ibis Ambassador Seoul Insadong, I was impressed by the hotel's exceptional service and comfortable accommodations. The staff members were warm, friendly, and accommodating, and they went out of their way to ensure that my stay was enjoyable. My room was clean, modern, and well-appointed, with all the amenities I needed for a comfortable stay. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom was spacious and spotless. I also appreciated the complimentary coffee and tea that was provided in my room. One of the highlights of the hotel was its location in the heart of the Insadong neighborhood. I was able to explore the nearby shops, restaurants, and galleries easily on foot, and I appreciated the vibrant energy of the area. The hotel was also conveniently located near public transportation, 10 minutes from Jungu Gu 3 Station and 10 minutes to the other station, Hanok village is 10 minutes away!!!!which made it easy to explore other parts of the city. The hotel's breakfast buffet was another standout feature, with a wide selection of tasty and healthy options to choose from. I particularly enjoyed the fresh fruits and pastries, which were a perfect way to start my day. Overall, I would highly recommend the Ibis Ambassador Seoul Insadong to anyone looking for a comfortable and convenient place to stay in Seoul. The hotel's excellent service, comfortable accommodations, and prime location make it a top choice for travelers looking for a memorable stay in this vibrant city.

I and my father booked a tour to Korea for 4 days and 4 nights. The tour agency had booked this hotel for our trip— the 3-star hotel located in Insadong, really near the MRT line and bus station. We stayed in a twin room with two single beds, the space was a bit small but kinda good soundproofing and enough accessories. We stayed for 4 nights and got the staff to clean the room all trip. They were nice. You need the room's card to use the elevator. Each day we got 2 complimentary bottles of water and coffee. Recommend for who travel by couple or alone, not for family cus the space was small.

Had a great time. Very conveniently situated, helpful staff, warm rooms (visited in late November), laundry, and sensible prices. Heaps of restaurants all around, and a short walk to Gwanghwamun and the former palaces.

PROS: - While the property is located near Ikseondong, a popular area filled with coffee shops and restaurants, it doesn't get too noisy and busy. Changdeokgung Palace and Insadong are just a few minutes' walk from it. - The nearest metro station (Jongno 3-Ga) is connected to three lines which can directly take you to nearly all must-see places and attractions in Seoul. For those coming from Incheon International Airport, ride the 6011 airport limousine bus and alight at Changdeokgung Palace bus stop which is around 400 meters away from the hotel. - The money exchange in front of the hotel offers the best rates for USD, JPY, and even PHP. - The property has a small gym, coin laundry area, and hot bath area all in its first basement level. Make sure to use the hot bath area (similar to an onsen/sento) as it can relieve stress from exploring Seoul the entire day. There is also a rooftop with a stunning view of Ikseondong and N Seoul Tower. -The staff at the front desk are attentive, helpful, and very friendly. Housekeeping staff were polite and courteous as well. - The room is of decent size, luggages can be easily opened and there would still be enough space to walk around. The bed is not too soft and operating the air conditioner is very easy. - The bathroom features a bidet and a standing shower with a decent water flow. As the property practices environmental sustainability, some toiletries (such as toothbrushes) are not provided. - Checkout time is 12PM which is much later compared to similar hotels. CONS: - There is only one electrical adapter in the room. Should you want to charge multiple devices at once, bringing in of an extension cord is advised. - Wifi speed and coverage could be improved especially in certain rooms. - Breakfast buffet is not included in the price. - The in-room refrigerator does not get too cold. OVERALL: An ideal homebase to settle at while you are visiting Seoul. Highly recommended for families and couples!
