I had stayed at this hotel exactly 6 years ago and enjoyed my stay given its location, service and recognition of loyalty. My recent stay was disappointing. The rooms not the same, the breakfast limited but what I felt the most was lack of loyalty recognition. I have been a Platinum member for many years and this year Diamond. But for the first time ever, no upgrade, no mention, it was totally ignored. So I went up and asked and I was told the hotel is full. Funny how that has never happened before in my stays across Asia, Europe and North America. I hope this hotel understands upgrade is not a freebie. It’s earned after spending literally tens of thousands of dollars.

I arrived in Hanoi late Nov 29th and the hotel across the street overbooked my reservation. I came to the Mercure Hotel and asked the girls for some help.. They found another hotel for me and much more. Linh and Tah really made me feel at home. Thank-you so much beautiful girls.

Quiet spot in the busy center

The Mercure is in a great location for walking to museums. The staff are welcoming and accommodating. Our room was quiet, beds comfortable though a little squeaky on exit. The shower was very, very slippery when wet. The breakfast buffet was lovely and included international and local choices.

I recently stayed at Mercure Hanoi La Gare, and from the moment I arrived, I was impressed by the warmth and professionalism of everyone there. At the reception, Viet Anh, Tram Anh, and Thao were fantastic! They were always friendly, patient, and ready to help with anything; from giving great local tips to making sure every little detail of my stay was comfortable. Their genuine smiles and care made me feel so welcome after a long journey. The coffee house team also deserves a big shout – out! Minh and Quynh served with such warmth and attention, and their cheerful attitude really brightened my mornings. A special thank you to Ms. Han, their manager, who clearly leads by example; her presence adds calm professionalism to the team that guests truly feel. And finally, Ms. Mi, the Sales Manager, went out of her way to make sure everything during my stay was perfect. Her kindness and personal touch made all the difference. What stood out most to me was the sense of genuine hospitality that every staff member showed, not just service, but sincere care for guests.
