ibis budget Verdun

As always good clean functional overnight accommodation but disappointed not to be able to book breakfast on arrival

I booked on the day and received a confirmation. when we arrived the automated system would not accept us... we rang using the local phone and no one would help,,, we had to go into Verdun and find another hotel,, will never stay in IBIS again,,, and i stay in around 45 hotels a year with work. This hotel is a smoking hotel, yes thats right people are allowed to smoke in the rooms, hence the bedding smells of smoke, I asked to change and was told their all the same. Also there was water dripping through the toilet celing, probably from the aircon unit above.

At the suggestion of the helpful young lady in reception we were switched to another room, which was equipped with a bathroom adapted for a disabled person. The accommodation was excellent and the breakfast plain but wholesome and sufficient. The only problem during our one night stay, no internet access, was beyond their control.
