The reception staff were friendly and welcoming, even arranging for us to have free early check in at 12pm. A pleasant surprise for us as we were only there to drop the bags off. Bar staff polite and helpful, efficient service. Agree with the pool being too deep it was 1.55 metres with no shallow end, luckily my son didnt want to swim but if he had he would be upset that he couldnt. There should maybe be a note on the website about the pool depth. Even though there was a thermostat in the room offering cool air, it didnt make any difference and the room was hot and stuffy. All that aside we will definitely stay here whenever we're in London.

Hello, I am writing this review to honestly share our experience, especially to help families with young children. If you are looking for a hotel suitable for children up to six years old, this is not a good option. The swimming pool is not child-friendly. It is 1.55 meters deep throughout and has no shallow area or seating ledges to rest. There is nowhere to sit and relax in the pool. I am 1.72 meters tall and still had to stand on my tiptoes while holding my five-year-old daughter the entire time. It was very uncomfortable and stressful instead of relaxing. We also had repeated issues with the magnetic room key card. It kept stopping working, and we had to go to reception twice to fix it. Additionally, we requested a comb because there was none in the room and we had forgotten ours. We were told it would be brought to us, but it never arrived before we checked out. The restaurant dinner was also very disappointing. The food had no flavor or seasoning at all. I ordered a carbonara, and the pasta was extremely overcooked and completely bland. Considering the high price we paid, the quality was unacceptable. We stayed only one night and decided to leave because the experience did not meet our expectations. Very strange policy with regards to music & lighting in public areas!

I've been using this Novotel for lunch & tea meetings (plus the occasional overnight stay) over the last decade, given it's close proximity to Paddington station. Having not visited for a while, I was quite perplexed this afternoon whilst enjoying a relaxing chat with friends over a bite to eat in the bar area to find the lights automatically dimming & music going from quiet background to much louder around 4/4.30pm. When I enquired the manager told me that it was controlled by a computer & did this automatically every day. They obligingly turned the lights up & music down, asking how long I was staying for so they could turn the presets back on! This is puzzling behaviour as this hotel is known for being a relaxing tranquil place (particularly as this was the middle of the afternoon), in the middle of what's a very bustling noisy area. Maybe I need to find another place to chill out that doesn't seek to be a hip & trendy hangout for the younger generations!?

Had a 2 night stay here last weekend. Staff very friendly. Room very good and clean. Sofa bed was a small double bed with very comfortable mattress. Right next door to Regent Canal so walked to Little Venice. Very convenient for all train/underground connections. . Highly recommend this hotel will definitely be going back. Don’t know where these people stayed with their negative comments, but we had none!

Great location. Reception staff were particularly great but all the staff we met were incredibly helpful and friendly. Room was spacious, clean and comfortable. Breakfast was extremely good - best hotel breakfast I have had in a while. Would definitely stay again.
