This resort was so friendly &great value for us. The rooms are spacious & we loved the pool areas. The gardens, gym ,spa, food, bars all good. The shuttle to the beach club was every 10/15 minutes with massages for $15 an hour . LOREN from guest services,thankyou for your care.

The hotel is amazing, clean and very well maintained grounds. The only negative is that the rooms are tired and could use an update. The food at the pool and Pause cafe is excellent and far better than the restaurant and buffet. The front of house team are all amazing and bend over backwards to offer assistance.

Relaxing Resort

Great hotel, great service great food. Their were no toiletries in the room, no coffee sachets and no shops within a reasonable walking distance for groceries. It's in a quiet location with a beautiful beach. Just as well we had a driver to get around. I checked in with friends and they were told they were VIP guests and got a gift basket delivered to them. I found that a bit insulting as it was me who made the reservations and I was left with nothing, considering the prices were the same for both rooms. Apart from that, I enjoyed my stay.

3 Star experience in pretty setting

The resort grounds are well maintained and quite pretty. Many of the units are privately owned and you can sometimes find a more favorable rate via Airbnb or similar. We booked a private, 3-bedroom residence with private splash pool and terrace that was the right rate for the experience. The resort is land locked, so the pool gets no breeze. It can be dreadfully hot in the bar, restaurant and pool area. The hotel does have a van that runs every 15 minutes to their own private beach area which is a bit tired looking and a weak experience compared to the Grand Hyatt, Ayodya, Westin, or St Regis. The hotel runs buffets multiple nights of the week for dinner (and they're not great...lots of option, but the food is mediocre). If you want to eat off the menu instead of the buffet, it's a 45 min to 1 hr time frame to get food. We ate off-site more often than not and patronized the smaller, air conditioned cafe at the resort for breakfast/lunch. It's a 50,000 rupiah ($3USD) min charge for a taxi within a couple of miles to other hotels and restaurants, but most things are walkable if you don't mind the heat. The breakfast buffet is large, expensive (for Bali) and not worth it (imo). Not all units have cooking facilities. Ours had a microwave and a cook top (no oven). The tour desk seems to be a "pass thru" service: they pass your WhatsApp number to the tour provider and the rate seems to reflect you pay the hotel for the connection. You can alternatively walk outside to the street and coordinate your own tour. The staff are all very pleasant. Laundry service was very good. Maintenance was very responsive to many minor problems in the room. As other reviews state, the hotel is a bit older and showing its age. The grounds may look 5 star, but the rooms, food, service, restaurant options and shops are not. Maybe 3.5

Not a Luxury Escape

We booked the Novotel Nusa Dua through Luxury Escapes, primarily because it had larger apartment style rooms and facilities for children (Kids Club, playground et). In retrospect I really should have read some of these reviews more closely and booked elsewhere. As others have said, this hotel is worn. The housekeeping and grounds staff are doing their best to make it presentable, but there no looking past what it is - an old, aging hotel. This is perhaps most evident in the Kids Club, which resembles a dungeon with minimal activities, rather than a fun, vibrant place for kids to hang out. The playground looks quite good, but in reality you can barely use it. There’s no shade cloth over the structure meaning that it’s fully exposed to the Balinese sun and thus too hot for little ones to play on except in the early morning or late afternoon. The rooms, though spacious are dark and as tired as the resort. The kitchen “facilities” are sparse - to microwave, toaster or oven. No bowls and about 4 pieces of cutlery, 4 plates, 2 cups…. It’s not useable at all. There are no amenities in the bathroom either, you need to ask for them if you want them. The food at the resort is barely edible. The breakfast buffet is one of the most average (in terms of food quality) that I’ve seen and requires salt and condiments to make it consumable. We had dinner here one night and vowed not to order another thing from the kitchens of the hotel. Perhaps it no surprise that delivery drivers turn up daily, delivering food. Why eat here when the food is so average and so expensive? The pool is another frustration. It’s rare for anyone from the pool bar to do the rounds and see if you need anything and it’s annoying to have to walk from one side of the pool to other to ask. The toilets are also poorly positioned and require you to walk virtually the whole way around the pool to access them. I saw concerningly few people make this effort and didn’t use the pool much after that. It’s not all doom and gloom though, the grounds are nicely maintained, the housekeeping staff are friendly and attentive. The remaining staff are friendly enough, but inattentive. This resort really needs a refresh in not only its presentation but also service and food standards. The management may not be able to change the construction of the hotel, but they could certainly improve the quality of service and food provided to guests to start improving the quality of their stay. Until this happens, I wouldn’t recommend staying at this hotel.
