Such a great hotel! Sujee was so wonderful and friendly when we had lunch at the tea 5. My husband and I have food allergies and he took great care of us. Thank you for making us feel so welcome and safe!

Hotel transfer due to flight cancellation

We booked the Sofitel at Heathrow; however our flight was cancelled and we had to rebook from Gatwick. Despite the booking being non-refundable the Sofitel at Heathrow refunded our payment as well appreciated goodwill gesture. We have now been able to re-book the Sofitel at Gatwick's North Terminal ready for our early morning departure :).

From the moment we stepped into the hotel, we were greeted with such a warm and genuine welcome that instantly made us feel at home. The rooms were impeccably clean, the breakfast was fantastic, and the overall atmosphere truly felt like a home away from home. A special mention goes to Darlene from the Front Desk, who made our experience even more memorable. She engaged us in a lovely conversation upon check-in, effortlessly creating a warm rapport. I was especially touched and pleasantly surprised that she recognized me and even remembered my birthday—such a thoughtful gesture that truly made my day extra special. The service is not transactional; it’s intentional. This level of service is truly amazing and unforgettable. Experiences like this are what set Sofitel apart. Without a doubt, Sofitel is my home away from home.

Regular and repeat guests whom enjoy the convenience of this well located hotel, and the fact that, despite being an airport hotel, offers much more than you may expect, namely in terms of stunning service from all the team members. Clean, all be it dated rooms, and good F&B facilities too, coupled with secure parking and well equipped gym ensures we return often! All team members are polite and super hard working, such as the busy front office / front desk team, and special thanks and mention to star players, such as Ronaldo, Sujee and Keshab from the lounge - these three are perfect hosts, offer a VIP service, work darn hard in an often very busy lounge, and are a great credit to the hotel! Kudos also the talented Samantha from Sphere Bar - one of the most friendliest, helpful, hard working, polite and professional F&B Team Members I've had the pleasure to meet - she's a great asset to the F&B team and we look forward to being served by her on our visits. Whilst many areas are coping well with the high numbers of guests, there are some communal areas and areas in the rooms where a refurb is required, however for us these niggles don't prevent us returning, and we truly enjoy and are grateful for the genuine hospitality shown by Samantha, Keshab, Ronaldo & Sujee - they treat us like royalty and are such genuine nice hard working team members!
