Upon arrival I was greeted by a lovely young lady with a bright smile, not enough youth has manners these days so it made my old heart smile. Thank you Francesca for making me know that there's still hope for the world. The room itself was very light and airy, definitely refreshing to wake up with the sun as light creeped through the window. The view which I have seen many complaints about, was perfectly satisfactory to me. Saw so many birds landing on the Macdonalds roof, really got to fill in some pages of my bird spotters book, glad I packed the old binoculars. I definitely would recommend staying, and hope to come again when I've booked for my next cruise.

Absolutely horrendous £10 to park the car , cashless hotel nowhere to get food apart from a rock hard panini which to 25 minutes to make . We were given a family room with bunkbed which my partner kept hitting his head on . We actually ordered a double room on booking. Com the beds were rock hard and the pillows were like sleeping on concrete slabs so uncomfortable I think you would get better accommodation in a prison cell

I stayed this last weekend, the rooms were very small and gave a damp and dusty feeling. The single bed wasn't made and were only supplied with sheets. No pillowcase- just a sheet to lay over it. The pillow itself was one like on an airplane- small and scratchy with next to no filling inside. I had to fold the small duvet inside a sheet as it wasn't actually a duvet cover. The windows could only open not even an inch and the lighting wasn't natural and was harsh. I would avoid at all costs and just spend more money on a better quality hotel. This one was disgusting.

One night stay before a cruise. Great communication from hotel after I emailed informing them we would be arriving after midnight. Short work from national express bus terminal so ideal for getting from Heathrow. Reception lady was lovely on arrival. What a great welcome in the middle of the night. Room as expected from an ibis budget. McDonald’s next door ideal for food at all hours. Lovely lady at reception at check out as well and let us leave our bags for a few hours. 10/15 walk to MSC cruise terminal and was reason we stayed at this hotel. Great value for the price we paid but the service at reception was what made this stay.

This was a one overnight stay. On the plus side our room 105, 2 thin single beds - was clean, spacious, warm and the beds were comfortable so it met our minimum standards On the minus side there was no heating in the bathroom, very cold and the shower head leaked. The beds had a tiny bedside shelf big enough for one item only. There was a desk in the room and one plastic chair with the socket points next to the desk - so you could not charge phones next to the bed. It was also a noisy room being at the top of the stairs so there was a lot of clumping up and down and people having races up and down the corridor - it did though settle down late evening. Our main issue was that the lift was out of order. We had 2 large cases plus my husband walks with a stick. Fortunately the receptionist carried cases up for us My husband struggles but can manage one flight of stairs just about. We had booked an accessible room not releasing that the room might be not ground floor (or that the lift might not be working) But it’s something we now know to ask for with future bookings - accessible and ground floor hotel rooms
