Clean but not for me

Lots of parking £7 not a problem. Friendly staff on arrival. Never stayed at an ibis budget before.. don’t think I would again.. however that’s personal preference. The room was very clean, shower was good, although a very odd set up .. shower and basin in room and separate toilet cubicle. Vinyl (?) flooring probably more hygienic than carpet. Tv .. freeview channels. No hairdryer.. perhaps reception have them.NO TEA & COFFEE facilities in the room. I’m paying just shy of £60 for one nights accommodation.. no breakfast, I want a cuppa in the morning! Good size bed, mattress not the best, I slept ok. I wouldn’t return, however it was very clean and the staff were very friendly.

Regarding the tea facilities in the rooms: We do not provide this service in the rooms. This is the style for all Ibis budget hotels in UK but we have a coffee machine next to the reception. Regarding the hair drier: Again same as the coffee facilities in the room. We have hair driers in the reception and we can give you one on arrivals. Unclean really sad as could be brilliant

Yes budget hotel great location to the arena but even a budget hotel should be clean. Bathroom needs scrubbing top to bottom excrement on door frame dirty basin floor etc. . Ours was a accessible room which was big and shower seat etc which had sofa weirdly opposite blank wall where emptying tv bracket is yet moved to wall to it's left meaning couldn't see tv except from a distance in a bed. This hotel could be brilliant £211 fir 3 nights not cheap. No excuse for not being clean, if clean I would've given it 5 stars

Unsafe and puts capital B in budget hostel the film was less scary

Thank goodness it was only for one night. 40 minutes before check in time I got a phone call from the hostel (refuse to call it a hotel) to check i wanted the room type i had booked. I had booked this nearly a year in advance for myself and my disabled mother so was expecting no issues. I had paid over the odds at £113 as rooms were available for £79 on the same evening although I'm sure the reply will be that they sell from £32. £32 is expensive for this place. Anyway I was told on the phone call that they would try to get me the room type I requested which set alarm bells ringing. When I arrived the room wasn't ready so I had to wait, after about 20 minutes I got in to the room with a double bed and a bunk above it and a sofabed which I took so my mum had a stable bed. It's a good job I did as when I sat one the bed I recreated some sitcom scene as the slats in the bed weren't fixed to it so I fell through the centre of the bed. I went to notify the reception who apologised and offered 2 free coffees whilst she looked for another room. She found a room which fitted the description i had booked in the first place with 2 single beds and accessible. With trepidation I went into the room and found to single beds and an accessible bathroom. The whole room smelt of a blocked shower drain, the cord in the bathroom for disabled alarm should anything happen was tied up out of reach if the disabled person and the one in the room was none existent! The beds were akin to sleeping on concrete and the floors were in need of replacing. There was no peep for the disabled person should an evacuation be required either. Whether budget or not i believe for £113 plus parking at £7 you should be able to guarantee some level of quality and this was nowhere near the mark. Breakfast was meh too premier inn do continental for less and have a much better variety. In short not an experience i wish to repeat and I will be sending my review to accor/Ibis as well as the whole budget brand needs reviewing and bringing up to the standard of somewhere equivalent like easy hotels who do a much better job

Regarding the car park: It is a first come and first serve. We did mention the car park online and on the third parties. It is a limited space and it is char gable. Regarding the breakfast: We are having a cold continentals breakfast. This is the standard for all Ibis budget hotels in UK. Good value for money

This hotel offers good value for money, but the rooms are quite small, especially the bathroom, which felt cramped. The location is a big plus, as it's within walking distance of the Sports Institute. However, I was disappointed that they charged extra for drinks, which I believe should be included, given the price. This small issue kept me from giving a full five-star rating. With a bit more attention to these details, it would easily be a top-notch experience. I would still recommend it for its convenience and affordability.

TERRIBLE SAFETY. Access cards given out for our room. Was woken at 00h25 by a stranger. Hotel staff was rude about it.

Stayed at the Ibis budget Sheffield Arena from 15/09/2024 - 17/09/2024. My wife was going to come alone, however I'm extremely grateful I came with her. At 00h25 another guest opened the door to our hotel room. The door was locked from the inside but could still be opened from the outside if an access card was presented. I went down to the concierge (Jurgen) who said that he made the access card for our room and had given it to a new guest. He remarked that this was not his fault but rather the person working on the shift before him. He reports having knowledge that we were in room 125, but had made a new card for the new guest. My access card no longer worked for the room. We did not receive an apology from the concierge nor any sort of acknowledgement that a mistake was made and that our safety was put at risk.
