Not a fantastic start to our stay in Vienna. We booked an Executive Room for a family of 4 and paid the extra tariff for it. The photos on the website are a little misleading. We certainly didn’t get a better room, a view, or a balcony. Of course I did ask and there was no rooms with either of these available. Compensation, two bottles of juice and one set of bathroom amenities between four of us. We didn’t get any of the ‘extras’ this room offered until I asked for them, which we really shouldn’t have to do. The fold out couch had one single bed cover, again I had to ask for a second cover as there are four of us. The young staff member came to the room and gave us a second cover, not exactly apologising. Over all really disappointing, we have stayed in Novotel all over the world and this one could do better to uphold the brand name. For the money I think we could have found better accomodation in this area. The young guy who checked us in was lovely, and he did try to help but clearly management weren’t interested. Won’t stay again.

Hotel is a small boutique hotel. Our room was very small and cold! There was no heat in the room and the bathroom floor was like ice. The best they would do for us was give us a Dyson heater to use in the room but that didn't solve the bathroom issue as the bathroom was divided from the main room by a small door! Secondly the shower/tub would not drain properly so had to leave the stopper out. Also, if you have any mobility issues beware, to get into the shower you have to step over a 4 foot ceramic wall and there are no bars to hold onto. As my husband said, it's an okay hotel if you are staying one night, in and out, but we were there for three so felt quite cramped and uncomfortable. Front staff were friendly enough though I think they were a little overwhelmed by all the people checking in and out. They do have a restaurant onsite but found it rather expensive, especially when you have restaurants all over Vienna within walking distance. One last note, they do provide a mini fridge but it's empty!

Хочу поделиться своим опытом проживания в отеле Novotel. К сожалению, опыт оказался неприятным. При бронировании на Booking было указано проживание с включёнными завтраками. Оплату я производил наличными на ресепшене при заезде. После первого посещения завтрака мы поняли, что он, на наш взгляд, не стоит своих денег — 27 евро на человека. В соседних кафе можно позавтракать вкуснее и разнообразнее. Мы обратились на ресепшен с просьбой исключить завтраки из проживания и вернуть за них деньги. Сотрудник на ресепшене ответил «хорошо». Я отдельно уточнил, будет ли возврат при выезде — мне ответили утвердительно. После этого мы больше не посещали завтраки. В день выезда мы обнаружили письмо в номере (как выяснилось, оно пролежало там около суток), в котором было указано, что отмена завтраков невозможна. На ресепшене мне сообщили, что из-за бронирования через Booking возврат невозможен. При этом оплата производилась напрямую отелю наличными, а не через Booking. Менеджер по имени Питер пообещал разобраться в ситуации и сообщил, что, если выяснится ошибка сотрудника, деньги будут возвращены на мой банковский счёт. Однако позже я получил письмо, в котором было указано, что сотрудник якобы всё корректно объяснил заранее. С моей стороны таких объяснений не было — если бы мы знали, что завтраки невозможно отменить, мы бы продолжали ими пользоваться. Также отмечу, что уборка в номере была выполнена только после двух ночей проживания, несмотря на вывешенную на двери табличку с просьбой об уборке. В целом, опыт оставил ощущение недостаточной клиентоориентированности. Лично я бы не рекомендовал данный отель — в центре Вены , я думаю, есть много альтернатив с более внимательным отношением к гостям. Возможно, ситуация является исключением, но мой личный опыт оказался именно таким.

Location very good. Not in a busy area but close to underground and trams. Also centre within walking distance and also shopping mall. We booked an execustive room which was lovely. Room was clean and we also had a complimentary mini bar and they left us jam and small goodies for christmas. Our extractor fan in bathroom wasnt working and although we reported it, it wasnt fixed our safe was also not working but it was fixed. Shower cap and vanity kits were not replaced. Room was ready after 3pm although it says checkin is at 3pm. Luggage was kept for us in a luggage room although one of the receptionist was being sarcastic due to the amount of luggage we had. Bed not very comfy and sofa bed for kids was not comfy at all. Breakfast was ok but on different days certain food was not available for example christmas day no toast and salmon were available and we were told coz its a holiday. Another day no pancakes for the kids. Dinner at hotel was ok but nothing special.

I stayed at this hotel for three nights in September 2025. The location is excellent — very convenient for the metro and easy access to the city center. Breakfast was average for a 4-star hotel. My room was on the first floor facing the street. Although I placed the “Please clean my room” sign, housekeeping didn’t come until I asked. The cleaning was quite superficial, and tea and coffee were not refilled. The next day, housekeeping came around 6 p.m., which was rather late, and only refilled the tea. I was surprised to see that the glasses were washed in the bathroom sink without detergent — not very hygienic in my opinion. I requested new glasses the following day, and they replaced them. A jug was provided for filling water from the bathroom tap, which I didn’t find hygienic either. Overall, the location was great, but housekeeping quality and hygiene standards should be improved.
