Great hotel near the Alexanerplatz which s convenient for visiting several chirstmas markets, museums and TV-tower. For a budget hotel, I was surprised how comfortable the room was, even showergel and hairdryer were in the bathroom. Clean and very quiet (we had a room with a view to the courtyard facing the office building). Breakfast was enough for us in order to get a good start of a day even if hot dishes were missing. Great coffee and juices. The public transport stops were just a minute away. Overall, we were very satisfied.

Stayed for 2 nights Around 900m walk from Alexanderplatz.Tram station just outside the hotel.Edeka supermarket at a walking distance. Super tiny rooms , smallest bathroom. Super small bf restaurant with limited food options. This is a very basic and typical business hotel but super expensive. This place is not recommended if you intend to spend most of your time in the room. This is suitable for business purpose. Reception staff is cooperative but with missing smile.They did help to allocate room for early check in. Apart from proximity to tram station ,supermarket and distance from centre , there is no other advantage to stay at this place.

the staff was very friendly . the room was very clean . public transportation easy to find and to use BUT the noise ! this Ibis is located at a very heavy traffic intersections, our room was on the loudest side: we could hear ambulance, police sirens , cars, etc all night long . we had a room on the 6th floor and it was very warm but I couldn't open the window because of the noise ! there was NO phone in the room , since the sink was clogged I had to go to the reception to ask for help 6 floors down . I was told someone will come by 10 pm . we waited all evening and NOBODY came to fix the sink. it was fixed the next day .the room is so tiny , the shower is next to the bed ! there is no closet either . we went to Ibis before but this one had the worse location I could have

Extremely Small Rooms

The hotel room for twin/double was extremely small. The bathroom was extremely small. The TV was extremely small. There was nothing in the room except 2 beds, a chair, a table and a TV! One won't wish to stay in the room for any reason except just to sleep because it was so depressing. However, the beds/mattress were good and comfortable. The room and also the beddings and the shower area were clean . Best location in Berlin, very close to Alexanderplatz. Buss 200 stops very near to the hotel and also the metro. Direct connection from the airport to Alexanderplats and then either walking to the hotel or taking bus 200. The breakfast buffet was not a fancy 5 stars hotel breakfast but it was very good and it included all that a person needs to start his/her day. The people in the reception were helpful to show directions on the map but they did not have even a shadow of simile on their faces. It is a good option if you just need a place to sleep in after a long day. However, it is very depressing if one wishes to stay in the room for long hours!

Trusty basic hotel in convenient Berlin location

I've been here many times - sometimes a predictable basic hotel that just works is perfect. Small rooms, typical Ibis plastic showers, cheap (but quite variable) room rates - best rates always on the Ibis/ALL websites, sound breakfast buffet with cold items only for €11.50 (real coffee, you can take an apple away with you, but watery 'fruit juice'). Luggage storage, number code for room entry rather than key. Good shower, free wifi works well. Clean; friendly staff; fridge by reception for cold drinks (with and without alcohol). It's not the class of hotel to have room safes or minibars. What I really like about the hotel is its great transport links. While it's an under 10 minute walk from Alexanderplatz (train, S, U and tram/bus) it's only three or four minutes from the really useful bus 200 and trams M4 and M5.. The food choice really nearby is limited to a surprisingly good cheap vegetarian Korean restaurant next door and an Edeka supermarket a four minute walk away. A bit farther away there's plenty in most directions, but to be fair this area isn't Berlin's culinary hotspot.
