Newly refurbished but with teeth g problems

This is our 5th or 6th time at this IBIS, it was good to see it being refurbished but that was what caused the problem this time. In our room (224) the shower could only be either very hot or very cold, obviously something has been done incorrectly during the refurbishment. This could be very dangerous if you had children or young people in the room using the shower. We did advise the reception staff at the time and again on check out but no mention of any refund or reduction in the amount paid was offered. Also note that they only supply one towel per person, so once you have had a shower (hopefully warmer than ours), there is then no other hand towel for when using the basin or cleaning teeth etc. I think this was the case before but it does seem impractical. Otherwise the hotel is good and well located on our drive from UK to Spain. Breakfast is good.

We have stayed here many times and have always found it a pleasurable stay. The staff are always friendly, professional and helpful. Our usual room is excellent. The hotel, in all areas, has always been clean and well maintained. The breakfast has always been fine, the normal overnight hotel choices. We knew that the restaurant is currently closed on Sundays and Mondays but if you are able there is a choice of restaurants nearby. We were disappointed that there was none of the excellent fruit / nut bread that we have enjoyed previously. Recommended.

We were allocated two rooms in a corridor where renovations to all the rooms were taking place. The area was a health and safety hazard with paint fumes, dust and cables. Renovation equipment was in full view and work was going on . These rooms should not have been sold. I was told there were no other rooms available in a very off hand manner. I had paid by then. We developed a headache and a cough . I have complained directly to the hotel with no response. I would like a refund.
