I stayed with my three children and we really enjoyed our stay. I would have liked to know that tha car park was closed before arriving as it delayed our arrival and incurred costs that we could have avoided by getting the train. Really great hotel though and lovely pool and spa.

No parking, hotel bit tired.

New manager making necessary changes

A poorly run Novotel now has a new manager, Nika, who is going to make the changes to provide Novotel quality. After yet another disappointing multinight stay, perhspd noe it will improve.

Rooms are in a desolate and bad state (showers not working properly et cetera)

I found the whole experience a little sub-standard. On a Corporate Booking I don't want to have someone waving a chip-and-pin machine at me everytime I want to have breakfast, or order room service, or indeed pay in advance on check-in (like I was distrusted) and have a whole load of receipts to assemble in order to expense it back within my organisation. The rooms are tired now in Reading and not even having a bottle of water in the room is frankly, a budget option now at not really a budget price. I won't stay there again I'm afraid

Great facilities, helpful staff. The room was extremely comfortable and large enough to feel homely for the few days I was there. Bar also a good place to meet friends. Also impressed with laundry service.

Great hotel with great service

We were welcomed in a very friendly way. We got an upgrade with a delicious treat waiting in our room. Because of ongoing construction, the parking lot was closed and so we found an indoor parking garage five minutes walk from the hotel. There was some confusion as to whether it was one of the garages that Novotel is using during the construction and it turns out it wasn't but the manager was very understanding and paid for half of it. Great customer service.

Friendly and helpful staff. The room size is fine though it has view on backyard and under maintenance work. Staff are good and the breakfast is also nice.

Nightmare experience, unsafe for women - if the car park is not built why not be upfront about it

I arrived at 9.30 pm and followed the many signs to the car park which took me to a dark alley where it was very difficult to turn around. Had to get out of the car to press a buzzer only to be told that the car park hadn’t been built yet so I struggled to do a 3 point turn in a dark narrow alley. The nearest car park I could find was a 10 minute walk, but was very dark, lots of drunks and I felt very unsafe. The room was ok, but very noisy a loud fan came on in the early hours of the morning. Receptionist said the website is clear about car park - having checked again it is still being advertised as having parking.

Enjoyable stay even if only I night. Sadly the bar had closed by the time I got back from.dinner so didn't get to.sample that. Room.was nice, though maybe a little.small. Nice king-size bed and power shower. The only complaint would be housekeeping knocked on door twice even though I had put do not disturb sign up. Checkout is 12, so had not expected door to open at 930 and then another knock at just before 11. I was trying to enjoy a sleep in so a little annoying.

Lovely stay over with my son and partner, room wasnt clean though, cups were dirty like they hadnt been refreshed, the shower was dirty, all black stuff on the tiles that easily washed off so not sure what it was and empty shower bottles and lids left in shower, making me think wasnt actually cleaned, slightly worrying given a time we are in and cleanliness is more important, maybe was the early check in that caused it to be rushed. Breakfast was also a let down as was stone cold and the cleaning of the tables could of been slightly better like cleaning the salt and pepper pots would be an idea as witness a kid sneezing over one of them which then put me off eating.
