We stay in Room 623 for 5 nights. It’s a room with view of sky (since it’s right below the attic) with a nice bathroom and heated bathroom flooring. The hotel is just located next to Central Munich train station and within walking distance to shopping district, sights and restaurants. Staff from reception, concierge, housekeeping to restaurant at the hotel are all very professional and helpful. Breakfast box (a huge bag x2) was arranged for us on departure as we had to catch a morning flight out. Would strongly recommend.

5-Star property directly on the railway station in Munich. This location is convenient on one side, since you are 5 minutes away from the metro and can walk in the centre of Munich in just 10 minutes. On the other side, central station is every where the same, I guess, a lot of traffic, strange people, police, construction site etc. The hotel itself is okay, the service was welcoming, we had only used the bar, and that was good. the rooms very business like, but you miss nothing. Clean and spacious. The only reason I give it note 4 and not 5, is the location. Not sure I would like to stay here again. Only if they have an attractive offer.

Our first stay was in 2022, both me and my daughter had such a nice stay although the circumstances were not ideal during the pandemic. Now two years later she insisted to go back and the Sofitel Munich-team did not disappoint! From the check in with Mr. Dogukan Yildirim to the Spa-team everyone was so kind and attentive. Although we arrived way too early, Mr. Dogukan could accommodate us not only with drink vouchers at the fabulous bar but also with a room upgrade on a higher level. The breakfast was sublime and the staff was again so detail oriented. Not to speak about the impressive building where you can go back in time dwell around the large hallways and the lobby. Not only the service but the kindness of the team made us feel so welcome needless to say we can’t wait to visit again.

This was a 4 day business trip. Hotel was generally very good, staff friendly, rooms clean and the location was very convenient. General standard of the food was not 5 star, it was generally well presented but was expensive and poor value, price point was ridiculous, I object to paying over 30 Euros for a croque monsieur which is basically a grilled cheese sandwich. Water in the room was not complimentary and was charged at 15 Euros per bottle. This is a 5 star hotel and you have to expect 5 star prices, however poor food at 5 star prices is unacceptable.

I have had the pleasure to stay at the Sofitel Bayernpost in München twice already and I am counting the seconds leading to my next stay there. As soon as you get in this luxurious hotel, you feel at home away from home : from the reception to the spa, on your way to your lavishly appointed bedroom or to the majestic breakfast room appointed for a Kaiser, everyone is unbelievably friendly and professional. Now, I must thank especially Mr Umut Ofkeli for his friendliness and his patience towards (I am must admit I am a chatterbox). He looked after me not only as a client but also as a member of his own family and made me feel at home instantly.He is a remarkable employee, an asset for Accor’s Sofitel Brand. I highly recommend you to stay at the Sofitel Bayernpost and when you do so, please do not forget to say hello to Mr Ofkeli for me! Without a shadow of a doubt, he will make sure that you find your way to Paradise in München!
