Good hotel; great location, bur broken sleep due to staff!

I selected this hotel for two reasons, location and my birthday, I wanted a hotel that looked like the right vibe and settings. I arrived and had a nice welcome by the super friendly doorman, I was aiming to drop off my case as it was 1.30pm (check in 3pm). When I returned at 3.45pm I was initially told that the room Was showing as still not ready, which made me feel a bit stressed as I had several friends arriving at 4.45pm at the hotel bar for a big birthday night out. However after a phone call I was advised it was ok and was issued with keys. I was on 2nd floor, the room was well set out, good room and nice bathroom, and a nice surprise of a birthday slice of cake and 2 chocolate covered strawberries. Given we were going out for an early dinner, decided to save it on my return (maybe an early breakfast as was going to a club! 😀). The bed was a great size, although there’s a lack of plugs and no mirror or plug to do hair. However, downstairs bar was very busy, but good atmosphere, but managed to get a table for 2 and then 4. My first friend arrived and we got a round of drinks with no issue; however second set of friends so now 4 found it very difficult to get any service, and when we finally ordered we only had 15 mins before we had to leave. We asked how quick they could be as we would need to leave no later than 20 mins (and be late!) but did get a rather short response of no, too busy, look, it won’t be fast! So we decided to leave and walk over to Hawksmoor and got drinks at Booking Office who found us a table and served us quickly as we said we had limited time! Anyway I returned at 6.30am (yes it was a good night at the club) and returned to the room! I ate the strawberries but the cake wasn’t good unfortunately. I went to bed and it was a good mattress, duvet etc. However got a very rude awakening at 9am with housekeeping wanting to clean the room! This was so annoying and rude I think, check out is 11am and to be woken like that at 9am was not then one… and unbelievably the same again at 10am!!! I just felt this was really poor, I had hardly any opportunity to have any sleep from the time in the room. It did really mar the trip and felt annoyed that for the price paid, I was being woken up by housekeeping multiple times when it was hours before check out on a Sunday morning, post a birthday night out. The hotel is good though, was a new favourite for that area, it was quiet, felt like there was no-one on the floor, great location, staff were bit mixed on service, unfortunately, but nicely appointed and decor. But being woken up isn’t a great experience, especially when the floor seemed so quiet, housekeeping seemed desperate to clean for Sunday night guests and in all honesty questioning wanting to return again in a couple of months as planned.

One night quick stay. Clean and spacious room. Friendly staff. Only a few minutes walk from kings cross and pancreas stations. Large gym.

Good hotel / bored staff

The hotel was centrally located and perfect for its closeness to Eurostar, it was clean and spacious and our room had a large clean and comfortable bed. Good lighting and plenty of charging points. My only complaint was the reception staff seemed untrained. We checked in and were offered a welcome drink on arrival, because we were members of the hotel scheme, but offered no voucher so when going to the bar we were sent back to reception where a “bored “ staff member offered me one voucher. We were happy to buy our own drinks 🍷 but why offer ? The bar staff on seeing our one drinks voucher said go back to reception- that’s crazy, so reluctantly the admin staff member offered me another voucher. No apology or smile 😊 this is a central London hotel 🏨 please raise your game and train staff in hospitality 🙏

Always a great stay, but this time one service failure

I stayed at the Pullman St Pancras on the 30th November 2025 for one night. As a returning guest, I was looking forward to my stay at The Pullman. I booked a Deluxe Room and was allocated the 15th floor with an amazing view of London. The room was well presented. The only negative for this stay was the greeting and check in at reception. The greeting by receptionist Sintija was disappointing. At no time did she address me by my name. She even asked if I had stayed at the Pullman previously and I replied "yes". She still made no effort to make me feel welcome or address me by my name. When I checked out on Monday, 1st December 2025, receptionist Tyler gave exceptional customer service. He addressed me by my name and apologised when there was a delay printing my account and assisted with by bagage storage. I look forward to a return visit 2026, I hope to a warm welcome.
