Our stay at the Sofitel Cairo Nile El Gezirah was simply fantastic: the interior, the Christmas decoration, the music, the breakfast buffet, the location and above all the staff were outstanding. I want to mention especially a young Concierge, Madona, who was extremely helpful and kind. Also, the responsible of the restaurant "Windows to the Nile" was very attentive and generous.

I will not recommend this hotel

We get corporate discount hence I reached out to them for the quote. Two days later they replied asking for a ID which I provided on 28 Dec. ID is expiring 31 Dec and stay request is on 5 Jan. I have stayed in several hotels with the corporate discount and always a quote is provided immediately with the condition that proof of employment will be required at the time of check in. However despite my explanation they said they cannot provide even a quote without ID which is waste of my time and poor customer service. Our company have phased out physical IDs and they are only available digitally starting 1st Jan 2026 and app only allows to be shown in person not able to take screenshots. Therefore if this is their service for potential guests imagine those prepaid. So my rating is 1 star for others to know. I will write to All as well and do not recommend this hotel.

With regard to corporate rate requests, including the Saudi Aramco corporate rate mentioned, our hotel is required to follow specific verification procedures. In order to issue a quote or confirm eligibility for such rates/discounts, we must receive either a valid employee ID for the requested stay dates or an official email sent from the company’s corporate domain. This is a standard policy applied consistently to ensure the integrity of corporate agreements. In this case, the request was received from a personal email address, and the employee ID provided was due to expire before the requested stay dates. As a result, our Team was unable to proceed with issuing a corporate-rate quote without valid documentation confirming eligibility at the time of stay. This requirement is not intended to inconvenience potential guests but rather to comply with agreed corporate booking conditions. We value all guest inquiries, including those at the quotation stage, and regret that this process did not meet your expectations. A pleasant family time

The hotel is distinguished by its excellent location in central Cairo on the Nile, on Zamalek Island, with a panoramic view of downtown cairo. It has 27 floors and rooms of reasonable size, classic comfortable furniture, and every room features a balcony, mostly overlooking the Nile and is equipped with large modern flat‑screen TVs. Cleanliness is excellent in the rooms and public spaces. The swimming pool has heated water and there is a SPA, jacuzzi, steam and sauna. The hotel has diverse restaurants serving Italian, Eastern, and Moroccan cuisine. The buffet breakfast le Sude restaurant is excellent. There is a private lounge for Accor Platinum members club Millesime on the 16th floor with excellent service and an amazing view of the Nile and the pyramids. I enjoyed my stay with my children for several days in a comfortable and romantic atmosphere.
