i have stayed at this hotel on & off since 2015 it was good then. and still is to a point..however not everyone is rich'' so when they put a price up for a room it should include all taxes .that way people will know exactly how much they going to pay when they arrived..134euro.for 1night on a wooden bed is not worth it..

I loved staying at this hotel. Although its facilities looked a bit worn out and might need renovation,they have warm and friendly staff that would over compensate for that. Big thanks to Nordin, Feline and Kalsam who made my stay very memorable. I hope to return to this hotel

This hotel is in our opinion a great choice for those visiting Amsterdam. Attentive and friendly staff. However the reservation system is miserable. When I was at the airport to board I received an email from Accor informing me that my reservation was canceled. I called Accor customer support and they confirmed the cancellation of the reservation because they did not have a credit card as a guarantee. First mistake, had valid card and accepted by the hotel. The customer service clerk suggested making a new reservation at another hotel and helped make that reservation at another hotel in the accor group. When I was checking in I get an email from Ibis city west asking what time we expect to arrive ... Not being able to solve the problem over the phone and afraid of charging one night, I grabbed an uber and went to Ibis. At Ibis a friendly employee confirmed that booking at Ibis was active. As it was cheaper, I ended up staying at Ibis and canceling the Accor reservation at the other hotel. All this caused a giant stress and disorder, I ended up spending money and time not solving this problem. It's not right!!

I stayed for one night only, as it was a quick stop in my tour, but the hotel made it a nice one, the room was great bit small but its fine, the staff were too friendly, the hotel was in a good location with a close bus stop.

The room was nice, but to small, bathroom in “ibis style box”, 15 parking spaces in another building for over 180 rooms, not acceptable as guest and member, use bus or bicycle, pre-debiting the first night, but was not first count at check-in, double debiting on guest credit cards are usual, poor behaviour, the debts were four days earlier, Invoice not correct, what are the best devices and tools good for, if the hotel is not able to check in the client flawless and award-meet ? however, the system has to be changed….

The worst experience ever with Ibis .. The stuff were so rude ad helpless! I asked for several things but did not get them. The room pillows are not comfortable at all. There is too much noice at the entrance cafe. People drink there till 4 or 5 am !

Comfortable and close to metro

Hotel is NW of city but metro very close walk so a quick trip into the centre of Amsterdam. Burger King right next door. Room on 9th floor had good views and was very quiet. Unfortunately bar closed before midnight so we weren't able to get a drink. Room clean and comfortable.

My worst Accor experience

As a Accor platinum member, this is definitely my worst experience. To cut long story short, they simply mix up my booking. Without double confirm with me, they simply force check out my room and put all of my belongings into my colleague's room without asking her permission. You can imagine how embarrass it gonna be while they simply distribute all your stuff into another room. There are a few mistakes from this incident: 1) I don't know it's procedure to force check out a guest? Can't they simply call or email me in advance? 2) The hotel has plenty of room to store my belongings, how can they make a decision to move all of my belongings to another room? 3) When they figure out the mistake, their staff didn't offer any assistance to move my baggage to the new room. This is a disastrous mistake and I will never recommend anybody to stay in this hotel if you need a normal services.

First time in this hotel and I was surpised by how easy it is to reach the center of the city. For sure we will go back. Staff super-nice. Maybe you don't get nice views but if you don't want to spend huge amounts on accommodation, this is perfect.

Arrived at hotel at 11am to drop off our luggage as we knew checking wasn't until 2pm. We were welcomed by happy, smiling reception staff and advised our room was ready so we could access this immediately which was a welcome bonus since we had been up since 4am. Reception staff advised us that there was a festival on in the city to celebrate kings day and provided us with novelty sun glasses to wear when joining the activities, orange coloured muffins also available free at reception as part of the celebrations for customers. Room was clean, comfortable and modern, great shower, very comfortable bed and also free safe. Unfortunately there was a problem with our safe and it wouldn't lock, however we contacted reception and the girl arrived promptly, she was unable to fix it so offered to keep our passport etc in the reception safe and also provided us with vouchers for free breakfast for duration of our stay as compensation for the inconvenience which was a really nice and also very generous gesture. The hotel itself is in a great location, 2 train stops from the airport and around 10-15min bus ride to city centre although we walked through the park which took around 30-40mins. The area and also hotel was quiet in the evening so no problem getting a good nights sleep. I would def return to this hotel if I were to travel to Amsterdam again, the staff is their biggest asset, welcoming, friendly and efficient. Definitely contributed to us having a great holiday!

This Ibis hotel was great value for money and the hotel itself was clean and comfortable. The location is a little bit out from centrum so you would need to travel in. This is fine as the bus stop is just outside the hotel and the busses arrive roughly every 10 mins during the day. Overall a very good hotel!

The room was really comfortable and cosy. I loved the view and the assistance of the staff. Please try to change the towels in a daily basis and provide customers with two towels , for body and face. You could also add extra blankets according to the season.

When travelling in winter time, believe most of the traveler prefer to drink hot water rather than cold. When we stayed in this hotel for couple of days there, I noticed that drinking water will not be supplied, which is fine, I can buy bottle water. When I checked with the Reception desk to see if they can provide Electric kettle and cups, was told that I can only get hot water from their bar next to the Reception Desk. Lucky I have my own thermos flask, I can still use this to get hot water up but I'll have to do the same whenever I need it. The first night was ok since I dined in their restaurant, but when I get it again in the second night, the staff there was not helpful at all, 2 staff asked the same lady to help me afterwards which made me feel so bad. I ended up not getting anything from them the following nights. I never came across this kind of situations in the past, even when I stayed in the same hotel in Prague, they immediately provided an electric kettle and cups for us to use during my stay there.

Dear Kelly, I am sorry to hear that your stay did not meet up to your expectations. I would like to inform you that the water from the tap is fine in Holland and is good for human consumption. In our hotel we have 10 'superior' rooms that are provided with Thea and coffee facilities. Also at the reception they have a few boilers to rent for free. I suppose that during you stay these were all rented, than we always provide the free option of getting hot water from the bar 24/7. We are all here to serve you as many times as needed, so please do not feel "bad" if you request for hot water again. The staff fully understands, and is happy to help you.
