This hotel is comfortable, clean and convenient. The staff is very nice. We did not purchase the breakfast option, and chose to grab a morning coffee and croissant at the station. We stayed for 6 nights in a room facing the Rhine river and train tracks. The windows are soundproof, and we did not hear any noise from the trains. It was fun watching the boats and barges on the river. It a convenient location for either riding a tram, ferry boat or walking to restaurants and museums. By US standards, the room was very small, but the bed was comfortable, the bathroom was well designed and the AC worked. There is no coffee or hot pot in the room. Coffee may be purchased in the lobby. Bring or buy a bar of soap to use, the one they give in bathroom is tiny. Shampoo and shower soap is in a squeeze bottle attached to the shower wall. We have stayed in Ibis hotels before, and we expected all of this. The hotel is good value, especially since we spent little time in the room. The area in front of the hotel appears unsightly because of thousands of parked bikes, garbage on the ground, and smokers outside. Don’t be concerned, once you enter the hotel, you are presented with a clean and efficient lobby and friendly check-In. I would definitely stay here again on any trip to Amsterdam, pleasure or business.

Mile zaskoczyła nas możliwość późnego wykwaterowania. Pomimo bliskiej odległości od torów w pokoju było cicho. Przyjemny wystrój i bardzo miła obsługa.

Pozytywny, gdyby nie te ceny, które są w Amsterdamie co najmniej dwa jak nie trzy razy za wysokie jak na ten standard hotelu (pomiędzy ** a góra ***).

Noisy hotel, under renovation, poor service and overall terrible experience.

Unfortunately, no one asked me when I checked out about my visit at your hotel -- one of many issues I faced during my stay. So I emailed my complaints to the team. They apologized but offered no compensation for the challenges I faced during my stay. As an Accor member, I have come to know and expect a certain standard of service at Accor hotels. However, I was very disappointed with my stay at this hotel for a number of reasons: 1. I was awoken on my first morning at 9am with the cleaning staff banging on my door. This is way too early for a cleaner to be checking if they can clean my room. I never ended up getting my room cleaned because I left the 'do not disturb' sign on my door as I didn't want to be awoken again so early. 2. I was awoken every other morning, however, with banging from the repairs going on in the hotel. I never had a good sleep because of the constant banging, dropping of tools, workmen in the hallway talking, etc. If a hotel is going to be making repairs and it's going to make so much noise, they should notify guests in advance. I would have chosen another hotel. Surely the ability to have a quiet night sleep is the most basic thing a hotel can provide - this hotel failed on this account. 3. Because of the repairs, the general atmosphere in the hotel was one of disarray. There was sawdust in the elevator that got onto my clothes, there were tools and nails lying in the floor. This compromised the safety of guests. The hotel area being renovated should not have been open for use. 4. I spoke to someone at the front desk on my last night there and asked for a wake up call for my room the following morning. No one ever called. 5. I was surprised to learn that guests have to pay for coffee in the hotel restaurant. There is none in the rooms. Surely this is also a basic that all hotels provide. Overall, it was a horrible stay and will certainly not be staying with you again.

The hotel was in good location and had great welcome from staff. Good response to inquires.Food was okay. Amenities were not enough. We heard some luggage was stolen from the staff which was scary and surprise to us.

Despite there being a power cut on arrival, we were treated like VIPs. Special mention for Stefan whose wit and good humour put everything in perspective. Great location and friendly staff; would definitely stay here again.

Absolute nightmare when checking in as I had done it on line but when we got there we still had to wait because everyone was just standing around the centre table. unfortunately the pin machine didn’t work to pay my city tax and I told them I would pay the next day, they then decided to contact me at 2100 hours and asked me to come down to reception to pay of which I said I would pay it in the morning. Then on my morning of departure there was a power cut , o was on the 9th floor and there was no one to contact until I walked down to the 5th floor, there should have been a member of staff on each floor directing people and advising what was going on. I then went back to my room had no power I ended up packing in the dark no shower facilities so you could see how angry I would be it was a shambles there were no staff to contact for help.

First of all - very close to centraal station. other thing include cleanliness. However rooms are very small. No Kettle inside. No Shampoo or conditioner or bath robe. However appropriate for hotel closer to station.

Our standard rooms are not equipped with a standard kettle where our premiums rooms do. We do however have kettle's available for our guests which we do provide upon request and free of charge. The soap provided is a combination of both. The Ibis product don't indeed provide in a bathrobe. My apologies for the discomfort caused to you. Hotel Location was convenient. Room amenities were minimal. Found out later that we can request for some amenities. Our room had a good view of the waterfront. Check-in maybe a little chaotic as no fixed front desk and a few people were checking in. Online check in is advisable. Staff are helpful.

Hotel is conveniently located next to central station and has nice lobby area but with lots of strangers in the entrance zone. Bar is nice but there is no reception - so you will be hanging out at lobby looking for staff to check in you. Rooms (family room in our case ) was quite small and has no decoration or anything makes you “like at home” . Windows are also tiny. Overall more like prison or hospital than hotel

I am happy however that you mentioned our 'no-reception' concept. Our living room style of hotel lobby allows our guests to feel at home as soon as they walk in. Unfortunately we did realise that our uniform at the time was not as recognisable and that we needed a central point for guests to meet staff. Ever since we have taken the appropriate measures to tackle both those concerns. We have changed our employee uniform to become more recognisable and have created a central point in our lobby as soon as you walk. We have done this based of the feedback we received from our guests. If in the future you decide to stay in Amsterdam again, I sincerely hope you will stay at our hotel again, so that we can show you the improvements we made. Good Location but....

As above great location right next to the central station and my room had great views as well, however it is pricey for what you get. Negatives being : haphazard checking in/out process despite using on-line check in it took nearly 20 mins to check in taking an age to process payment, no order as to who gets seen and checking out i had to look for someone to give key cards to. Breakfast is very basic and again for the cost suggest you go somewhere else, also having to use 2 lifts for higher floors was not explained very well and i saw several people getting confused.

Overall we enjoyed our stay in Amsterdam. But not happy with beds n linen in the room. We got a stained bedsheet which we saw only the day of checkout. But staff very helpful n friendly . Location Superb .

Hotel is perfect location. Right beside Central Station. All staff were so lovely and welcoming. The bar in hotel is fab also. I booked the ‘cosy room’ and it was perfect for a short stay. Highly recomened !

My only criticism of this hotel is that the floors are cold. Otherwise the staff are friendly and helpful and it is very qi=uiet despite being next to the main railway station and in the centre of a city under the flight path to the main airport. Very convenient for all the main attractions.

Staff Became Rude After False Fire Alarm

We all had to evacuate the building because there was a fire alarm. When we got to the lobby, the staff didn’t even know there was a fire alarm. They were very clueless. After they turned the alarm off, they didn’t even apologize for the inconvenience.
