Fantastic service once again by Souad (don’t know her surname) at the front desk. She is so friendly, helpful and informative and is always smiling. She is a true asset to the property. Very approachable and this was maybe my 30th visit over the last 10 years to this property and always receive top not service when she is working. Well done

Definitely coming back again on my next visit!

The staff was very pleasant and helpful, room was perfect and clean with a beautiful bathroom. We also had our own coffee and tea in the room. But most of all the hotel is located on a perfect spot, Sloterdijk station, from where you can use all kinds of public transport to the city center and around it!

It was very pleasant stay. Good location, excellent staff on front desk and support , good food and ambience and above all very competitively priced . It was stones throw away from the Sloterdjik station that helped us reach main tourist attractions in no time .

Although I have stayed in the Sloterdijk area before, this was my first time at the Mercure and I really enjoyed it. I had a great room -- large by Amsterdam standards -- with windows on two sides with nice views across the area of the city. The facilities were good and the location very convenient. Breakfast was a tad expensive though there were many options.

Disappointing stay at the Mecure Sloterdijk

Handy for access to Amsterdam Centraal station but the good points end there unfortunately. The room was very tired and in desperate need of repairs. The lighting is awful the main room and bathroom were so dark, trying to put make up on is a nightmare. The hairdryer is a typical hotel hairdryer attached to the wall, one temperature and hardly any power if you have long or thick hair take your own with you. The shower isn’t enclosed, not even a shower curtain so the water goes all over the floor, we had to request extra towels to stop us slipping. Cups for coffee were dirty. The sky bar restaurant food is poor so unless you’re desperate I’d advised eating somewhere else. Plenty of better hotels in Amsterdam for the same price, I wouldn’t stay again.
