I booked this hotel for a 5 day holiday in the Hannover area with family and friends. I booked a non-refundable advance rate and regretted it immensely. My friends all changed their rooms to the Novotel next door but I couldn't or I'd loose all the money. Although easy to find and in a great location, the hotel itself has about as much comfort and character as a prison cell. The bed was the most uncomfortable Ive ever slept on, I actually only averaged three hours sleep each night for 5 days! I woke up frequently in pain. We asked for additional pillows and the ones we got were lumpy and only half filled. The room was incredibly dark, evening the middle of the day, we were woken up at 6am most days with bottle bins being emptied under our window or staff yelling at eachother in the bin area. The room appeared to be very clean when we entered, however, we did find pubic hairs in the shower and on bedding, we also moved a stool to sit on it and it clearly had not been moved for many weeks as the floor and wall next to it were thick in dust, there were coffee rings on the desk and what looked to be dried snot from a child wiped on the underside of my sons bunk bed over the main bed. Most of the staff ignored you whenever you walked into reception and we felt unwelcome on more than one occasion. We were even given an eye roll when we asked for a jug of hot water to make tea (there are no tea facilities in the room). There was one receptionist who worked overnight that was very friendly and helpful, he is a credit to the hotel, but this is sadly the only compliment I can give for our entire stay. I've stayed in An Ibis budget before and it was nothing like this so I don't know if their standards have dropped or if it's just this one hotel, but so not book this one by Hannover Hauptbanhof.

Through a mash up with my schedule and itinerary, there was some miscommunication with my colleagues and I misunderstood my departure date to be a date later. Fortunately, staff at the hotel was able to secure my luggage and belongings safely and able to find me another room for the extended night. i am very grateful for that. Thank you. Pleasant stay.

It was fine, you get what you pay for with hotels and it was cheap so wasn't expecting much. The bed was fairly comfy, service from staff was amazing and breakfast was pretty simple. Overall, would stay again
