Fine hotel but terrible smelling hallways.

Staff are friendly enough we're happy to help us swap room as there was an issue with the TV. Rooms are tiny but ours was clean and the bed was fine but the pillows might as well not be there they are that flat. The breakfast is lacking it's just a continental with a tiny selection if it's included whatever but don't pay £8 for it there are food options everywhere. The biggest issue is the hallways leading to the rooms absolutely stink of sick or something along those lines its ridiculously potent the even sprayed air fresheners in there and the smell was overpowering those thankfully you can't smell it in the room but it's still disgusting to walk through again and again to the rooms.

Good value for $$, pleasant stay

The room is a bit run-down, which is expected for this price. The hotel i very well located and is a pleasant 15 min walk to the city centre. The staff are nice and friendly. The 24/7 reception bar doesn't hurt. The breakfast is extra ($8.50) and definitely worth it. Would stay again.

Accessible Nightmare.

Had decent expectations before arriving which included proximity to Ovo Hydro, Buchanon bus station etc... That's were it ended for us. We arrived at the hotel from a 25 min walk from the bus station, which was great,arrived at the front double doors to a small foyer with 2 lifts. Before I arrived I asked if there was stairs available to access rooms and was told yes. I explained that my daughter has special needs and does NOT get into lifts and was assured it was no problem. BIG PROBLEM, reception is located on the 6th floor which we didn't care about as we are well used to stairs. The BIG PROBLEM is that the door from the 6th floor stairwell is only available to open from the other side. After a lot of faffing about we eventually got checked in and spoke to the lady of my daughter's needs again, and I was assured it was no problem and was told just to phone the reception number on the stair corridor door on returning back to the hotel from the night out. We returned later, couldn't get in. Phoned the number which was to central reservations who put me on hold for over 20 mins, I hung up, phoned up again to be put on to the same person to tell him of our needs, he said he could do nothing as he couldn't get through. We walked back down to ground floor only to be greeted by a security officer who couldn't speak very much English and didn't understand our predicament at all and kept saying "lift" "lift" I kept saying my daughter is special needs and doesn't use lifts even showed him her sunflower lanyard which he didn't seem to understand one bit. Other guests heard our discussion with the security guy and our predicament and were really nice to offer us help and suggested they went up in the lift to reception to get them to open the stairwell door whilst we climb all the way back up the stairs again. The security officer really didn't want us to be on the stairs and kept constantly saying lift, lift and we had to ignore in the end by going up to finally meet someone at the door of the 6th floor. A big thank you to those lovely guests or we would still be trapped. I suggest management really need to sort out a basic health and safety requirement to guests for stress anxiety free accessible exit/entry in the future going forward and maybe make it mandatory for members of staff to understand the green and yellow sunflower 🌻 lanyard worn by guests and maybe staff members understanding basic English for us to communicate properly for situations. I tried to order a pizza and drink for my daughter to calm her down after thus ordeal only to be told sorry no pizzas left. Enough said 🤷.

It serves its purpose, ok for short stay

It serves its purpose...It is close to the center and several restaurants and massive car park in front of the hotel. The room and bathroom are tiny but OK for short stay

It was ok. If your baseline is comfort, and you at very least like a kettle and a chair in your room give this place a swerve. There are hot drinks available in reception, but a) you're paying a premium and b) it's hardly convenient first thing in the morning. There were two brightly coloured stools in the room, tying in with the corporate colour scheme, but looking very much like adult versions of seating you find in the corner of a doctor's waiting room where the toddlers hang out. The ensuite was interesting. The loo was like being in a cupboard - if the light bulb went out you'd be in absolute darkness. The shower was in a separate cupboard sized compartment with a frosted door. The sink was in the bedroom. The TV worked. The breakfast was nice enough - self service, continental, but the dining area had either chairs which you felt precariously balanced on as you leant over your breakfast or stools like those already mentioned. The staff were all lovely - and redeemed a really mediocre stay.
