A bit of a jaunt!

ok - this hotel was a bit of a walk (over a mile) from the railway station on High street...and it was all uphill except the last few hundred feet. A challenge to do after a day of travelling on the train. The hotel itself is nice - just the location is a bit away from what we wanted to see. The staff were very friendly and helpful and that made a huge difference. The room was nice - even though the view was a mix of older buildings with not so great skyscrapers from the 60's or 70's. The bathroom was split between the sink and shower in one room and the toilet in another smaller room - much smaller. There was hardly enough room to change your mind in there - but it was enough to take care of business I guess. We didn't eat at the restaurant downstairs except for a late night treat of ice cream ... but it was great, and the place was busy. The food on the menu looked good - just a shame we had already eaten elsewhere. The breakfast in the morning was really good and we enjoyed it very much...with lots of choice and a variety of juices and drinks. Probably didn't help we were only there one night but other than the location being a bit away from High street and the tiny toilet room - I would definitely stay here again.

The hotel was a touch of luxury, with a large room, with a comfy bed, lounge, TV, tea & coffee facilities & mini fridge (with complimentary bottled water). The hotel staff were very welcoming & helpful at check-in. The on-site restaurant & bar was well priced for the menu options provided (buffet breakfast & al-la-carte dinner); being food allergy aware providing numerous alternative options. The hotel is located a little out of the centre of town, about 15min walk to main square (given the hilly streets). There is a small private car-park (price per exit) available. An enjoyable stay.

Super friendly dog friendly hotel

Location is super good and many good restaurants around. Super friendly staffs and good breakfast with good foods and services. Good leisure facilities in 6/Floor such as gym facilities, steam room and sauna. The executive room we stayed and it is very quiet and comfortable of the bed. Especially they are dog friendly and MoMo gets a bowl of water 👍when we had breakfast everyday. We have a lovely stay in Novotel Glasgow and we definitely will come back to visit Glasgow again❤️

Tired rooms, poor breakfast. Very disappointing.

We booked a one night stay as a treat to see a show. Reception staff very helpful. Room was tired with no air conditioning and dreadful noise outside with window open. Breakfast very poor with many items missing from buffet. Woefully understaffed it seemed. Overall, very disappointing and will nor return here.

Overnight stay - would stay again

Stayed here overnight for a business trip. The hotel was very good in quality. Room and bathroom were spacious and very clean. Good quality tea and coffee in the room. Breakfast was very good, decent variety, quality fantastic. What let it down were the simple things such as lack of slippers or bathrobe in the room, also hygiene amenities were basic...I.e. only hand wash, shower gel and shampoo but good quality Rituals brand. There was only one functioning coffee machine in the morning and was quite tricky to use. Staff were personable and pleasant to talk to.
