I cannot fathom how a hotel can rent a room where there are cobwebs on the walls, ants in the room, FILTHY floors, NO lid on the toilet and NO shower screens. Unless you are desperate then steer well clear of this place MY FEED BACK TO THE HOTEL ENDED WITH; It would appear that you have set the bar to just above average third world standards - well done........ You should be embarrassed, if not, then you are in the wrong game.

I wish I had read the reviews before booking. Putting it nicely , this place is a shi*hole. The blonde lady at reception was lovely but that's the only thing positive. The room small and I mean small to the point where you had to walk sideways to get past the bed. The so called toilet/ shower you have to step up into it yet a cruise ship room bathroom much bigger than this. Forget washing your hands as the sink is outside next to the bed. I'm sure it was a junkie house as in the 30m that we were there they were coming and going. The room had a funky foul smell and was dirty. We lasted about 30m before we left and checked out. I didn't feel safe staying there. Never never again.

I wish that I didn't have to report this, but what I found in the room was unacceptable and disgusting. Myself and my 6 yr old daughter had to stay at Ibis Newcastle in an emergency. It was an unplanned visit. My daughter went to use the toilet in the room and was afraid to use the toilet as there were streaks of poo on the lid, seat and it was obvious that someone had recently had diarrhoea in this toilet and it was not cleaned. I could overlook even this, but then what I discovered the next morning made me physically ill. My daughter mentioned as well "under the sheets smell like butt" . I could smell a weird smell, and thought it was the toilet, but as I was cleaning up , I went to use the bin, underneath the bin bag was wet vomit , the bin also had vomit over it, and the smell was horrendous and made me gag. I now know that I've just spent a night in a room that has not been cleaned, and worse still, someone has had a very serious case of gastro. I looked over the room with my phone torch and found poo marks on the sink, towel, bed. I have photos of everything. I did not report it when I arrived because like I said, the stay was an emergency, and I don't want to expand on that, but I was very stressed on arrival, and now stressed leaving too . I asked the manager to come and have a look at the room, and I was offered only free breakfast and 20%refund. I am most certainly not happy with this , and I dare say that my daughter and I will become sick from this too.

Cheap room and friendly staff, but that is the end of the positives. Tiny room with very thin walls - we could hear kids running around on one side and sex on the other! Inadequate bedding - one thin blanket on the coldest night of the year Bathroom was disgusting - rotten door frame and no handle to close it from the inside! Breakfast was not what is shown on the website - don't bother. You get what you pay for

Room is so tiny, like a cruise ship bathroom, no window, no ventilation, no hair dryer. Room doesn't clean property. Very smelly bed sheet and pillows case. Uneven mattress and too soft. We couldn't sleep at all. Very unpleasant stay. Staff are helpful though.
