Bardzo dziękuję za wspaniały apartament i bardzo udany pobyt. Hotel jest świetnie położony, pracują w nim przemili ludzie, a na śniadaniu brakowało tylko szampana ;-)

Great experience - Really great hotel - Exclusive design - Great location - Attractive rates

I stayed for one night at the Hotel Mercure Stare Miasto in Gdańsk, Poland and had a very good time. The hotel is located right in the Stare Miasto - Old Town - in the city centre in one of the highest buildings in that part of town with I believe a total 20 floors, offering great views of the beautiful port city of Gdańsk in the Trojamiasto (Tri-City Gdańsk-Sopot-Gdynia) in the Województwo Pomorskie - the Pomeranian Voivodeship (province) of Poland. You are right next to across the street from the Gdańsk Główny - Central Train Station with a convenient tunnel access under the very busy road, it will take around 5-6 minutes or so to go from the hotel main entrance to the train station. You also have a modern medium sized mall, Galeria Handlowa Madison, with many different shops, a whole food court and "Netto" supermarket in the bottom floor. There is also a "Aldi" supermarket also just around the corner, ca. 250 metres from the hotel main entrance, also a Starbucks café, ca. 200 metres, and within 500 metres you have a total of three different Żabka convenience stores nearby the hotel. I was given the proper Accor ALL Priority Welcome check in and was recognised as an Accor ALL Gold member and was given a complimentary early check in and an upgrade to a double room, also my member profile preferences and special requests were honoured and I was assigned a room on the highest floor with hotel rooms on it on the 17th floor which offered amazing panorama view. The room was very stylish and modern, just as the whole hotel over all also was. It is very noticeable how much thought there is behind every little detail and that there has been a lot of effort put in to provide both that stylish, modern and futuristic look, combined with cool design and art details, each one incorporating a part of and honouring the city of Gdańsk. The room on the 17th floor was very spacious with a huge and comfortable king bed, one stylish, purple-coloured comfortable mini-sofa and a mint-green chair with a stylish marble sofa table in between. There was a huge panorama window that had a huge and robust marble windowsill where there also was a pillow, so you could sit there and get amazed by the great and far view while enjoying the fantastic view. In the corner of the huge panorama window is also a kettle with complimentary coffee and tea sachets. The rooms floor was half tile and half fresh, modern and stylish tricolour wall to wall carpet that felt good to your feet to walk and it matched very well with the wall colours as well as the colours of the other interior, furniture and other decorations. There is a very cool print on the non-see-through inside window to the bathroom with print of an old Gdańsk characteristic jugend facade building, which was very chic and stylish. In room there is a huge almost over size working desk with glass surface and a wood working chair, plenty of stationary including different sized envelopes in the room available. A huge, very modern wall mounted "Phillips" brand flat screen TV on the wall above the working desk with many TV-channels, including premium Canal+ movie and sports channels. Unfortunately, no connectivity with TV for casting via Chromecast, Miracast, AirPlay, etc. Overall very clean and fresh room. Huge wardrobe with huge mirror cover all over the wardrobe door. Full laptop size mounted safety box in room. No mini bar in room but a fully functional but empty mini-fridge. Huge and spacious bathroom, also very clean and fresh. Modern design with wooden panel walls and clincher tile floors with a huge mirror covering the entire part in between in the front above the cool rounded sink resting on the same type of glass surface as the working desk had. Furthermore "Elemental Herbology" brand neroli and bergamot scented toiletries in wall mounted bottles, liquid soap, body wash and shampoo. In conclusion, I was very impressed and amazed by the Hotel Mercure Gdańsk Stare Miasto. It's definitely among the finest Mercure hotels that I have ever stayed at in Poland. The interior is seemingly brand new, very modern, stylish and chic. Really awesome and cool design everywhere, not just in the rooms, but all over the public spaces where it's very noticeable how much thought and hard work there is down to each of the very details with great material, colours and pictures, prints on walls as well as floors incorporating and giving homage to city of Gdańsk. It's really a piece of work that feels very exclusive makes this hotel very unique. This hotel is up to and goes even above quite a bit the high quality Mercure standard and really met and exceeded my expectations by far. I was very much impressed by this hotel and would definitely stay again and would definitely recommend. Great value for money, attractive rates. There are many fine Accor properties in Trojamiasto and Gdańsk, but this might be among the finest.
