Black mould, heavy dust, and an unacceptable management response

The condition of the room on arrival was unacceptable. The bathroom had visible black mould, and there was thick dust buildup around and behind the minibar/fridge, indicating that the room had not been properly cleaned for some time. At check-in we asked about breakfast and were told someone would confirm later. This never happened and we did not receive breakfast. While some staff were polite, the handling of the complaint by front-of-house management was poor. The attitude was dismissive and defensive rather than professional, and there was no genuine attempt to acknowledge or correct the issues. I travel frequently and am familiar with Accor standards. This experience fell far below what should be acceptable for a Mercure hotel. Based on both the room condition and the way the issue was handled, I would not return or recommend this property.

Convenient location opposite a huge shopping centre

I stayed here for one night in December 2025, essentially between flights so my time in Warsaw and at the hotel was limited. When you arrive at Warsaw airport, follow the blue line on the ground to the train station. It's about a 5-minute walk once you exit Arrivals. Buy a ticket at the machine (7.80 zloty) and take the train into the city. I got off at the Warszawa Srodmiescie station and from there it was a 5-minute walk to the hotel. The hotel is located in what appears to be the business district with lots of offices around, but also plenty of shops and restaurants. Right across the road there is a huge shopping mall with all the usual international brands and a food court. On a Saturday night at dinner time it was extremely busy! I walked to the historic centre, about 20-30 minutes away. On the way there are some nice parks. The room itself was ok, although it did not have a coffee machine, and neither did it have any milk in the fridge. That was the only drawback. Other than that, the room was fine. To return to the airport, I went the same way and bought a ticket from the machine on the train (7 zloty). The train to the airport takes exactly 22 minutes.

I stayed in this hotel for one night while in Warsaw. For a $180 hotel, I was hoping there would be a microwave, but nope, it did not have one. Beyond the no microwave, the room was clean. The bed was comfortable. Check-in was quick and painless. A few restaurants and stores are within walking distance. They also have a restaurant located on site. I chose this hotel because they're only a few minute from the central train station. There is noise from the street below and the hallway. Someone also shot off fireworks from nearby in the middle of the night.

Hotel did not respect my booking details. If you book for a king size bed room, you might get a single or twin so don't bother. Hotel staff also did not care about this mistake, and did not fix my issue during my stay. I will not stay there again, and do not recommend anyone to do so if they look for good service and peace of mind.

The hotel is centrally located, next to the main train station and Zlote Tarasy shopping mall. The lobby was renovated, rooms as well but they don’t look very updated - too dark. Have to mention a good breakfast and nice gym with a small jacuzzi.
