This hotel had a grubby carpark a grubby foyer and the hall ways and rooms required lots of love The check in staff were good but the check out lady did not want to be there Rooms had cracking on the desk brown marks on the walls and a bottle top on the floor Even some beer cans left over all night on the 4th floor entrance to the elevator The elevator was disgusting

A friend and I caught the train from Newcastle, to stay one night Location and price and comfortable bed all made it a great stay

Always Happy here, Close to Newcastle City Centre, Light Rail around the Corner.

Dangerous, dirty, disgraceful

On one night there was violence in the room next to mine and police were called. Another night the occupant was a mentally ill man who kept on banging on my door. The phone to call reception in case of an emergency did not work. Cockroaches. Long hairs on bathroom floor. Pillows removed by staff because not enough for all rooms. Room smelled bad. Valance torn, blanket unclean. Reception made an error with my booking and I almost did get the disability room requested. Other guests complaining of problems and reception staff often apologising. Cleaners not always turning up for work and some not doing a thorough job as conceded by Reception. One star for location handy to public transport. Disgraceful that owners and managers allow these unhealthy and dangerous conditions.

The 2 reception managers and other staff encountered were fantastic. All were extremely helpful and went above and beyond to make my stay comfortable and enjoyable. My only disappointment was that there was no chef available for the full dinner menu during my stay, otherwise I would have dined there each night.
