Second chance — still some mixed feelings

After a previous stay, I decided to give this hotel a second chance. Unfortunately, things didn’t start well — there were some issues with the magnetic room keys, but to be fair, the reception handled the situation quite well considering the circumstances. The hotel is located rather far from the city center, but the lobby and bar are nicely designed, with several cozy corners to relax. The rooms are decent, though nothing exceptional. I would have given 4 stars if the prices were a bit lower.

Szanowny Panie S., Serdecznie dziękujemy za Pana wizytę oraz za tak pozytywną i szczegółową opinię. Cieszymy się, że pobyt w naszym hotelu spełnił Pana oczekiwania i że zarówno śniadanie, kolacja, jak i obsługa w barze pozostawiły tak dobre wrażenie. Szczególnie miło nam, że wspomniał Pan o Kamalu, naszej koleżance z baru oraz o dyrektorze hotelu – z przyjemnością przekażemy im Pana uznanie. To ogromna motywacja dla całego zespołu. Przykro nam jedynie, że nie otrzymał Pan napoju powitalnego w ramach programu ALL – zadbamy o to, aby podczas kolejnego pobytu ta korzyść była Panu zaoferowana. If you must, you must. Arrived late evening - around 11pm. Waited for a receptionist. Kept hanging around with no apologies. Place looks tired in the corridors. Rooms clean. Soap dispenser empty. No AC on a very hot night. Basic overnight - over priced.

Terrible Stay – Avoid This Hotel!

My stay at this hotel was a complete disaster, and I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone. The room was unbearably hot because the heating was constantly running. Opening the window wasn’t an option since the room was on a low level, making it insecure and unsafe. To make matters worse, the bathroom ventilation ran non-stop, creating an annoying noise that made it impossible to sleep. I reported these issues to the staff, and while a receptionist came to inspect the room and agreed the conditions were unacceptable, nothing was done to fix the situation. No room change, no real solution – just empty apologies. This hotel completely failed at its basic purpose: providing a restful place to sleep. If you value your comfort, peace, or money, avoid Ibis Aalst at all costs. Terrible experience!
