We are return visitors and always love staying here. The Staff are always friendly, attentive and accommodating. It is a beautiful hotel in a great location. Our experience at this hotel has always been amazing with no detail left unnoticed. Everything was taken care of. The rooms are always very clean and ready upon arrival.

The Sofitel London provides great attention to details. From the moment I entered the hotel, I was welcomed by Malcolm who took care of my luggage with a genuine smile. Malcolm introduced me to Jasmine who finalized the check-in process. Jasmine asked what my plans were for the week (4 musicals, 1 ballet, 1 opera and 1 play) and you could see that she was interested. Then she introduced me to Kimberley, Manager Guest Relations who, since it was my first stay at the Sofitel, showed me around the hotel, spa, restaurant, the Rose Lounge. She explained where I could have breakfast and the nice features of the James Bar and the Bistrot at Wild Honey. I had already made reservations to both and therefore, was looking forward to try the food. Upon arrival in my room, Kimberley mentioned that the room is done twice a day, which is rare these days. The room was beautifully decorated with all the amenities. I was surprised to see that at night, a bottle of water, a camomile tea bag and a cup is put on the bedside table. Very nice touch. Whether for breakfast, lunch or dinner, the food is excellent. The service is impeccable. The vanilla and raspberry cheese cake in the Rose Lounge is exquisite. During my entire stay, all the personnel made me feel special. One afternoon, 2 croissants were delivered to my room without even asking. I highly recommend this hotel. From now on, the Sofitel is definitely my hotel in London.

Sofitel London St James hotel was very clean. The front desk staff and concierge staff were very personable and accommodating to our needs. The hotel is in a great location. The only complaint that I have is that the spa receptionist was rude.

We have stayed at the Sofitel London St James twice before our latest visit, for our 25th wedding anniversary. Whilst check-in went smoothly (thank you!), it was disappointing to get into the room with a welcome message meant for a completely different guest. My wife also had a rather large cut on her left leg when getting out of bed, caused by the end of one of the feathers in the mattress. Hotel staff were notified, and we provided the photographic evidence. Someone from the front desk did get a first aid kit to help clean the blood and cut. We wouldn't have expected that from such a hotel (or any hotel). Breakfast was very good. We were also billed for mini-bar items we had not used, although to be fair the hotel staff sorted this out quickly upon notification. Overall, it was a plesant stay, but with numerous hiccups.

Amazing location and hospitality

I have been staying at the same hotel for the past 5 years, and every time I decide to change location…I end up going back to it. Location is basically a walking distance to Trafalgar Square, Covent Garden, Piccadilly Circus, Regent street, Leister Square, Oxford… 4 min away from the tube. Hospitality is amazing…they are ready to provide you with the best service possible.
