2 dagen verbleven in het hotel. Prima ontbijt. Bedden waren voor ons te zacht en slaapbank lag niet lekker. Zou fijn zijn als het gebruikt word als slaapbank een extra dunmatras erover heen. Dochter lag allemaal op harde onderdelen. Dus wel weinig geslapen.

Comfortabele kamer, laat op de avond nog kunnen reserveren - hadden niet verwacht om onderweg vanuit Karinthië, nog in Keulen te moeten overnachten. Receptie 24u/24 en een echte persoon V. vlees en bloed aan de telefoon om voor ons om 22u00 nog een oplossing te zoeken. Misschien zat die vrouw in India of Vietnam, maar vervang haar aub nooit door 1 of andere AI-chatbot!!!

De kamers waren ruim. Het was geen uitgebreid ontbijt, maar voldoende. Wensen tijdens het ontbijt werden keurig uitgevoerd. Jammer was alleen de andere bezoekers hun auto's op niet parkeerplaatsen zetten, waardoor je soms moeilijk de garage uit komt. Misschien een aandachtspunt.

In Frankrijk al veel gebruik gemaakt van Novotel. Nu was het de eerste keer in Duitsland. Slecht en te klein bed. Liften die voortdurend bezet zijn. Ontbijt; massa's volk.

Prima verblijf voor goed tarief. Je zit dicht bij het chocolademuseum, en met de bus ben je zo in het centrum, anders 20/25 minuten lopen. Goede uitwijkmogelijkheden met de auto buiten het centrum. Dag Phantasialand gedaan, dat was nog geen 20 min rijden. Let wel op dat je nog los betaalt voor parkeren, maar prima garage. Kamer ook netjes, vonden het wel wat warm en je hoort duidelijk de drukke weg die voor het hotel loopt. Maar heerlijk geslapen.

Vriendelijk personeel, inchecken ging soepel. Prima kamers, wij hadden er 2: 1 met tuinzicht (lekker rustig) en 1 aan de straatzijde. Daar is slapen met het raam open geen optie ivm de drukke weg. Op hwt dakterras hebben we heerlijk van de zonsondergang kunnen genieten. 1 nadeel: de kamers zijn gehorig. Er waren veel gezinnen met jonge kinderen en die renden over de gang. Dat was in onze kamer heel duidelijk te horen. Dat vond ik een groot nadeel, want in de kamer hoop je rust te vinden. De verdere ervaring was, net als vorig jaar in Berlijn bij Novotel, prima.

Het hotel is qua prijs een goede optie om in Keulen te overnachten. Op ongeveer 20 loopafstand van de Heumarkt. Het is een schoon hotel met aardig personeel. Bij het ontbijt is er genoeg keus. Niet erg uitgebreid, maar meer dan genoeg. Enkele minpunten zijn: - de kamer is niet erg groot als je met een gezin overnacht. - het uitklapbed is veel te klein voor twee personen. Daar ligt een één-persoonsdekbed op dus ook dat is veel te klein. - je hebt maar aan één kant van het bed een stopcontact. Niet echt handig.

Het verblijf in het Novotel Köln Centrum was zeer prettig. Het personeel was vriendelijk en behulpzaam. De kamer was schoon, ruim en comfortabel ingericht. Lokatie is fantastisch met ligging vlak aan de Rheinauhafen. Via de rijnoever loop je zo naar de binnenstad. Praktisch is bovendien de parkeergelegenheid. De ingang van de parkeergarage bevindt zich aan de Biberstraße. Bij aankomst kun je direct naar de inrit rijden, daar een ticket trekken en vervolgens eenvoudig naar binnen rijden.

Bij aankomst was onze kamer maar voorzien voor 1 gast, niet voor ons hele gezin. Dat maakte dat het zetelbed niet was opgemaakt, geen handdoeken, badjassen en slippers voorzien waren voor 3 personen. Men heeft dit snel opgelost. Alleen zeer slordig gedaan, wat betreft het zetelbed opmaken, door de lakens er op te gooien en geen slippers te geven voor 3 personen. We voelden ons in eerste instantie niet welkom in onze excucutive room. Lekker en verzorgd ontbijt, nette kamer en aangename parking. Vriendelijke bediening, ook in de bar en het restaurant. Geen voorzieningen voor de hond of geen kleine attentie. Wat een aantal jaren geleden wel zo was.
