Overall, the room was clean and tidy. However, as we were staying on the ground floor, quite a lot of leaves and insects were able to come in underneath the door. The soundproofing was also not strong enough, as we could clearly hear people talking while walking past our room outside. We also requested a sleeper/extra bed, but unfortunately, it was never delivered.

The staff were delightful and the resort is well located and the rooms were very comfortable and clean. The food was terrible - the room service options were limited and tasted like frozen food that was reheated and the buffet breakfast had limited options which were the same every single day

Our Accommodation, Room 230, was in a lovely location with stunning views. I awoke each morning to watch the sun rise over the vineyards. As Platinum members we enjoyed the good spread offered to all at breakfast. We did avail ourselves to a game of golf which was a lot of fun. We would highly recommend the Resort if seeking a location that is handy to all the Valley has to offer. We shopped in Tanunda and also dined there one evening. Dining at the Resort was very good but also a little expensive if you are only wanting a small meal. Unfortunately one evening it became obvious that there was a problem in the Kitchen as we waited for 1hr40mins for our meal. It was the first night of a new menu and it would have been good to have had more communication re the hold ups. Fortunately though, there were 6 of us dining so we were able to pass there time chatting, although hungry!

I stayed at the barossa valley resort and ate at the onsite restaurant. I am coeliac and made it very clear when booking and ordering. The food gave me a severe reaction. The staff took a soft drink off the bill as an apology for causing a medical episode then the executive chef rang me the next day and flat out said "the food was gluten free so I must be wrong" and "I dont know what to tell you". It was the only food I had eaten the whole day. Very disapointed.

I can appreciate how upsetting and concerning this experience would have been. We have reviewed the preparation of your meal and our dietary procedures. We take reasonable care to manage dietary requirements, including using gluten-free ingredients where appropriate and preparing gluten-free dishes on a separate, sanitised workspace. As all food is prepared within the same kitchen and we do not have completely separate preparation facilities, there is always a risk of cross-contamination, despite the controls we have in place. I am also very sorry that your follow-up conversation left you feeling that your concerns were dismissed. Regardless of the findings of our review, you should have felt heard, supported and treated with care when raising something so important. Thank you again for bringing this to our attention. We enjoyed our weekend getaway. The bed was comfortable just wish I knew about the pillow service at the beginning of our stay. Dinner at the restaurant was superb. Had a nice & relaxed weekend. We will be back 👍🏼
