All good, no breakfast Monday due to covid, understandable. Rooms redecorated I think since last stay -but wardrobe covered in dust -simply needs wiping down inside. Lovely friendly staff, both in reception and restaurant.

Great service on check in as well as dining. We had dinner at the restaurant which had some interesting options. I thought that the room service menu was a bit boring (not sure if this was changed due to COVID). It would be nice if you had a range of bathroom options as I love using baths when staying in a hotel.

My wife and i have stayed here several times the hotel is usually very good like all Novotel hotels but this time the service in the restaurant was only average both at dinner and breakfast.

Our room was great, comfortable & clean. We found the professionalism of the staff helped overcome our disappointment in the very limited choice for breakfast ( looked in town with limited choice too!) & dinner. We did enjoy our meal & staff interaction. Perhaps the local business association could provide accurate information re opening days/hours to hotels as we were constantly frustrated trying to access stores, wineries, restaurants. We know the Covid-19 has impacted everyone everywhere but conflicting / inaccurate information does not help visitors. We’ll be back when these strange times have ended.

Friendly staff, great room, wonderful service and cleanliness. Only issue was there was no way to manually adjust the air conditioner. The remote control in the room did not work and the only way we could turn it off was to cut the power to the entire room. This was a little inconvenient. Otherwise, great stay.

We have always stay with the Novetel when we come up to Barossa for a few days. My husband is also a Silver Accor Group Member, so we can always trust the standard of the hotels within the Accor Group. We always tried to book directly with the hotel, but due to COVID-19, our oversea trip was cancelled and was provided a huge credit to use within 12 months, so when this escape came up we opted in to go through LE instead. I must say we were both very disappointed this time and not sure we will return to the Novetel next time round. The breakfast menu with no hot food are a let down and the temperature and pressure of the shower were weak and wasn’t warm at all. The water temperature from the tap were way hotter then the actually shower. We were both cold after having a shower in the middle of winter.

We paid $674 for 2 nights in a spa room and I have to say the Value did not match the price. The carpet in the room was buckled, no option of hot food for breakfast which was disappointing. I understand that there are restrictions still in place from COVID but you can’t charge the same price and not deliver. I also noted that the restaurant there was not fine dining as we had no napkins and needed to ask for these after meals had been served. I had to wait almost 10 minutes for a glass of coke when there wasn’t a lot of people in the restaurant. I also wanted to order a steak which is something that’s regularly available in any restaurant but there wasn’t any on the menu. When I asked the waitress about it she told me that they are using all the food left over from pre COVID, which is fine but again it was another restriction after we have come of restrictions. For fine dining, we did not see the value in the restaurant too. It was our anniversary getaway.. Normally we would get some chocolate, fruit basket or something like that as we go away for our anniversary most anniversaries.. We only got a card. I know it may sound like I’m picking on everything, but I am trying to point out the cost of the room does not match the value. I would have paid $550 probably, but not the $674.. Thanks, Alex T.

Although we are undergoing a rooms refurbishment currently the spa rooms are next on the list to be completed. With our rates Friday & Saturday nights are the highest due to the demand and similar to an airline our rates are yielded based on demand. I am sorry you had the impression our restaurant is fine dining as it is not however should you like this style of service we recommend 'St Hugo' or 'Hently Farm' in the Barossa. Under COVID restrictions and in line with our Covid safe plan we cannot set the table in order to reduce any contact and to ensure everything has been sterilized. Our current menu offers short and lamb for protein items but no steak however I have spoken to our Executive Chef and he advised a steak will be back on the new menu launching in a couple of weeks. We appreciate your sharing your concerns and it is our hope that you will give us the opportunity to better serve you in the near future. Should you like to return Alex please let me know and I will organise a complimentary upgrade to our Superior room type which have been refurbished (however no spa’s in these rooms). Understandably a lot has changed with hotels due to covid-19 so I am sure the best efforts are being done to meet expectations. Suggestions are for improved in service dining. Eg cooked breakfast options as there were three non cooked (understandably as there is no chef present in the mornings), maybe even a separate weekend cooked breakfast menu then cold options during the week? Felt disappointing with the options especially when most local breakfast be venues are shut or have capacity limits. Also the same for options with 24/7 in room dining - options like wedges or chips could be a good simple addition for snacks available. Overall a nice trip away, probably just more basic compared to previous experiences, in light of covid changes which must be difficult to meet expectations as a hotel group no doubt.

I have stayed at Novotel Barossa a number of times, always very pleasant experience. First time in winter, though... the heating works really well, just one small thing that I'd like to mention - the duvet in the superior room we stayed was very thin, poor quality (cheap, polyester filled), it would be nicer to have one that is made with breathable material like wool... we did add the blanket available in the room, however would prefer a warmer duvet with a cover, instead of sheets that get all tangled up.

This was just a quick overnight stay on a cold night. I rang directly and got a great price, on arrival I was greeted with a warm smile, and friendly service. We stayed for 2 nights at the king spa suite. Room was quite small for the price. The furniture were outdated, and looked quite unclean. The sliding door to the the balcony was in particular very dirty, the sheets and pillows didn't look very clean either. There was no quilt cover on the quilt either (?) Was a bit pricey for the quality of the room overall. Room service knocked on our door at 9am to clean the room, we asked them to come back after, and no one bothered to come to clean.

We had a very nice, well-appointed room, very comfortable. As we were staying mid-week, the restaurant wasn't open and we made our own breakfasts and went out for dinner. We had planned to use the fitness centre, which looked very good, but we were put off by its separate location in the very cold morning weather. The staff were all very friendly and efficient.
