Loved our room, beds very comfortable and really liked having the lounge to sit on. We thought the layout of the room including kitchen, and balcony was great.

We made the mistake of eating in the restaurant, ordered the Wagyu steak was tough and uneatable, lamb was fatty tough and tasteless. By far the worst meal we have had for a while. Ordered two wines, waiter forgot one.

Location and views are beautiful but the room (2 bedroom apartment) was tired and not representative of the $500+ per night we paid. Our room was not serviced despite housekeeping knocking on the door in the morning and me telling them we were leaving in half an hour, so we returned later that evening to no clean towels, unmade beds and bathroom not cleaned. Coffee machine did not work. Staff were generally polite.

Room ok I had a meal there and only thing my wife didnt have was oysters I vomited and had the shits all night and struggled the next day badly As a tour operator this wasn't good I was fine be fore the meal My wife spoke to staff monday who said no one else was sick The oysters had a strong smell and I should not of eaten them but you have trust Tried to eat breakfast Tuesday but struggled. On checkout I again voiced my concern Staff seemed a bit more concerned but who know I paid the bill and was told I got money off for oysters but this was the credit for the retreat package I wasn't after any thing but staff not really doing anything or even checking dates and explaining those details to me . I take people to the barossa and my opinion of the novatel isn't good My experience was horrible and was looking forward to the stay but not again
