Check in was smooth and the concierge was very helpful about the wineries we wanted to visit. Room was clean and large and was a great place to stay. We were one of three couples and decided to have dinner at the restaurant. We ordered a round of drinks and the waitress behind the bar did not want to be there and was quite rude. We sat down and had dinner and the food was great. We ordered a second round of drinks and were served by the bar manager with a pony tail and he was more rude than the first waitress. All 6 of us were uncomfortable with his attitude. One of the couples got up to pay the bill and the waitress was rude again and the couple were members of the royalty program. They paid the bill and left pretty angry. As we walked back together, we were astonished on how bad the service was as well as their attitude. The next morning we went to breakfast in the same restaurant as it was prepaid and the two waitresses were awesome and very helpful. The food was yummy and throughly enjoyed our breakfast. We decided not to have dinner at the restaurant because of the night before. The next morning we had breakfast and again the waitresses were awesome and helped us with planning our day. Again the food was great. Apart from the dinner, everything was great and it was such a shame about our dinner experience. Maybe they had a bad day.

Check was mid afternoon. Room was clean and tidy. We attended the wine tasting, had our two free drinks (one each night), had two nice breakfasts and dined at the restaurant too with a $50 credit. Lastly we attended a wine tasting at Jacob’s creek on check out day. This was covered by the Novotel.

The lack of accessibility options for bringing luggage up to the second floor was really disappointing. Furthermore, the lack of lock on the door was very concerning especially as a solo female traveller.

While our resort is designed in a regional hillside style, which does include stair access to some second-floor rooms, we do understand this may be challenging when travelling with luggage. Regarding your concerns about room security, we would like to clarify that all guest rooms are fitted with secure locking systems that meet hotel safety standards. However, we understand that individual comfort levels may vary, especially for solo traveler's, and we appreciate you bringing this to our attention.
