A very nice Accor property in Essaouira. Walking to the Medina takes 5 minutes, it's located along the beach with a private area, so as far as prime locations go it can't get much better than this. The freshly renovated rooms are well designed and comfortable, the pool area is sun bathed in the afternoon and peaceful. The only thing that's really missing is a kids club. Add this and you'd tick all the boxes for an ideal family holiday.

Not much to say. Everything worked as it should (which was well). The staff were excellent. The bar was nice. The pool area glorious although we didn't use it (it was January). It delivers to teh standards you'd expect for a MGallery

- Ongoing construction with significant limitations to the building (no escalator, ongoing noise etc.) - Indoor pool closed down permanently without any hint on the website (this was one reason we first came to this hotel) - Gym equipment from the 1980s (broken, not available or even so damaged that it poses a risk on safety of visitors) - It constantly rained into our room through the wall/closed window leading to significant water pools (and mould) in the rooms - Windows don't close properly so the sound from the storm made it impossible to sleep at night (constant hauling several nights in a row, curtains were shaking despite all windows being closed) - Extremely unfriendly service, especially on the manager level (e.g. lead receptionist, lead spa manager) --> makes guest feel like their presence is disturbing them, partially rude (e.g. rooms were not ready at 15:00 checkin, we were offered one hour later without an excuse, politeness etc.) - Given all the above, extremely overpriced to the extent of a sheer rip-off - very bad price-value ratio...
