The staff absolutely made this hotel what it was, you can’t lift a finger. You ask where to get milk offering to get it yourself and are told to sit down, it will be brought to you. You bring a towel to the pool, are told to put it down while they lay you out a fresh one. It was the most tranquil, relaxing experience and the cleanliness is exceptional. Obviously there are construction works going on but it didn’t impact us at all, you hardly know they’re there! If I had to pick something, it would be at breakfast there’s a lack of facilities for making a coffee. No mugs on the tables it seemed after around 9:30 so you have to ask for one, then ask for a spoon, ask again for milk, so on and so forth. It really is a first world problem, it became more of a running joke than a problem! Thank you so much to all the staff, I hope they’re treated the way they treat the guests.

The newly renovated rooms are really fabulous. The beds and pillows are so very comfortable. I very much liked the idea of the iron and ironing board, and the weighing scales! Ayoub on reception was also great and very helpful, and at least spoke excellent French! However, the problems: Breakfast : door opened at 06.40 and tables not set, staff taking and laughing having breakfast in the kitchen. No salted butter. Many years ago breakfast was better with scrambled eggs and bacon. Beef or turkey bacon is just as good if you don't want pork! Housekeeping: after my serviettes and bath mat had been taken by morning housekeeping, and after three phone calls 15.00-15.45, I received a bath mat from a bad tempered woman who said I should wait until service 2! Really? Pool area: The renovations look very pretty but are awful. Big steps to get get to the sunbeds, which for elderly and people with short legs is difficult, and the pool was cold. Front hall porters: the one who has been there many years is too enthusiastic and slightly agressive in his manner. All in all, I was disappointed but love the bedrooms!

This was my second visit to this hotel and am sad to say it's a mixed review. Firstly, the staff are excellent, from Housekeeping, Restaurant/Bar and Reception - the team are warm and friendly and make the stay a pleasant experience. Renovation of the newly refurbished rooms are nice and noted the works noise during the day around the pool area was kept to a minimum. I was disappointed that the Thalasso and Spa are no longer available yet still appears in all communications- including this one. I noted the renaming of the hotel's fascia and it clearly states Le Medina - sea and spa. I was offered a spa voucher worth 30% off treatments but found better deals in town. Better air conditioning and upgraded gym equipment should also be implemented. Communication should have been sent and updates on the works and lack of 'key' facilities should have been made. I believe this would have given me the choice of cancelling my reservation. The price is also a massive negative as charging 5 star prices and only offering 3/4 star facilities (Breakfast choice has also been reduced) is unfair on the guest.

I stayed at this hotel for two nights. The first night was acceptable room 137 the bed was comfortable, the room was clean, and everything was in order. However, the second night was disappointing, as I was moved to another room that was infested with insects. The pillow had an unpleasant odor, forcing me to avoid using it. Additionally, unlike the previous room, there was no welcome water provided. I have stayed at this hotel many times in the past, and while I appreciate the recent renovations, the quality of breakfast and the overall level of service have noticeably declined. The breakfast offering now feels significantly inferior to what was previously served.
