Booked by our agent. Central & pleasant staff who carried our cases in and out. Fine old building rather spoiled by ugly entrance, bar(with poor food) and small rooms. The antique elevator is nearly 100 years old. Breakfast was OK and pleasant staff. Our room was small and odd air con not working? Would not recommend

The hotel is ideally placed for sight seeing, shopping, transport links and places to eat. The staff were brilliant, especially Julian who helped with anything and everything, and always greeted you with a smile, and a warm friendly comment (an asset to the hotel). The room was spacious, clean and tidy. The bathroom was okay, a bit tight to get in and out of the shower, but that said, the shower was great. There is a spa at the hotel, but we didn’t use it, although we did use the complementary robe and slippers in the room, very comfortable. The TV has Chromecast so if you don’t speak French you can stream items to it, although unfortunately it was not working during our stay, for which the staff, without being asked, provided a bottle of wine as compensation for the inconvenience. Breakfast was absolutely delicious with hot foods and continental meats and cheeses on offer as well as toast, yoghurts, juices, sweet treats, preserves… A great time was had and I would not stay anywhere else if visiting Lyon again.

Reception staff friendly and efficient; staff at breakfast fine until last morning, when a waiter hassled me to finish eating. Housekeeping a bit hot and miss. We had a good room, circular, with a big balcony you could sit on. Great location. No information in the room about the hotel eg only saw a notice about happy hour in the bar on the last day, pinned up by Reception.

We had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The room was good size, clean with a comfortable bed. The location was convenient to restaurants, shopping and the sights of Lyon. The staff was very helpful and friendly. I would definitely stay there again.

We love, love, loved this hotel!! We were amazed at the sound proofing! Even though our balcony was over an extremely busy and crowded plaza we couldn’t hear a sound! The room was spacious and comfortable and the linens and bed were all top quality. Shower was great and plenty of bathroom storage space. Breakfast was excellent. Great central location close to everything. Highly recommend this hotel.
