Stayed for one night. Decided to try hotel again after staying there a few years ago. Have tried other hotels in Canberra since this one and will be going back to other hotels after this stay. The hotel room decor remains the same, was dated then and not much has changed. Hotel needs refurbishing. View from room pretty crap - overlooking a car park. Food good, dinner service slow even though restaurant was only half full but the breakfast was much better service. Location handy and parking available if hotel is not too busy.

Absolute rubbish. Avoid at all cost.

Red flag on this place. Its a disaster! The ceilings leaked on two floors, the floors themselves are so uneven you keep tripping on them, the park i PAID for was full, there was ONE power outlet near the bed, the TV had no connection.... there wasn't even a bottle of water. WTF novotel / Accor.

The Hotel is goinf down. As a Diamond member, we did not receive any special treatment. Had to park in the street as all parking was full. We have a Diabled parking permit, but the Diaabled parking in the Hotel was taken up by vehicles that didn't have a permit. There was no welcome amenity. At least 2 weeks before we got some water and a Chocolate freckle, not much but something. In the Bar, the music was so loud, you couldn't talk much. Check out staff couldn't care less. We still haven't received the invoice despite asking for it at Checkout and again via email. We have been using the hotel at least once a year for over 12 years. There was no recognition. The bed wastn't that comfortable.

Despite the hotel being really busy we really enjoyed our stay at the Novotel Canberra. Staff were friendly and pleasant and the hotel facilties and location are really good. One small thing that irked me was that an easy win I think is when you have a family arriving on a 34 degree day, you could have the aircon turned on in the room - so it's cool when we arrive (a small thing but on such things are great hotel reviews made)

Hotel is great, however I left an evening dress on back door of bathroom and when I rang the following day after checking out there was no report from house keeping that anything was found. Although receptionist made an effort to contact house keeping and ring me back, I am disappointed to see personal items go ‘missing’ like this.
