The Hotel and staff are excellent. Due to not being able to make breakfast on the Sunday morning, they decided to make use a Pack lunch to takeaway. The only problem is that the aircon smelt of damp so had to turn it off. It wasn’t warm enough to have it on anyway. Definitely would stay again but I would check the aircon out in case it effects the other rooms

False advertisement

I didnt get the advertised room and it also wasn't fixed. My brother got much more luxury with the same arrangement. There was a sick guest coughing and sneezing like crazy trough breakfast and no one did anything about it. You claim 4 stars but there wasnt even vegan Milk.

Quiet location

Nice location just 5mins drive from city center and one mins drive to highway but in the farm area so it is quiet. Comfortable room with 4 of us in total including 2 kids of 10 and 6. Normally the room is larger then the other but since the sofa bed is extended so there is no much room left. We were out the whole day so it was not a real issue. The only complaint is there was smell outside the room in the corridor. We saw quite a number of shoes were put in front of the door outside the other rooms. We had to pass them all as we located end of the hallway. We informed the reception about the smell in the morning and when we were back the end of the day; the smell are still there and the same for the shoes. Beside that we were happy with the stay and the breakfast were all right. Parking fees of Eur3 per days with no limited of access is a plus too.

Discussions in adjacent rooms can be understood word by word. Relocation to other room did not improve the situation. Friendly, helpful staff. Breakfast OK.

Just had a one night stay, room was clean but very small. Terrible beds and pillows, didn't sleep that much and the rooms are very noisy. The neighbours had 'fun' a couple of times and could hear everything. Toilet paper was by dispencer, not handy at all better place normal toilet paper rolls.

Friendliness of front desk depends on who's working that day. Breakfast is decent, the beds are good. We asked for a quiet room which we got. The bathroom is OK, shower is good. Bathroom wasn't cleaned to perfection, there were visible hairs from shaving. All in all its not the worst, not the best.

I spent 2 nights, 3 days in Zwolle Mercure Hotel with my boyfriend. We went there from 2.5 hours distance and our expectations were quite different from the pictures they shared on https://www.mercure-hotel-zwolle.nl/en/ for a 4 stars hotel. However, we quite disappointed. Everything was good on the first day and the reception was kind to us until we start the day with the breakfast that we bought extra to our room package. We paid 17,50 EUR per person for the breakfast. Because of the COVID rules, they packed our breakfast and it was not hot and fresh. Also, they covered the breakfast with plastic wrap and the presentation was not satisfied. Even I bought many times more hot and fresh breakfast for 2 EUR in Hema. Then on the second morning, we kindly asked the chef to make the breakfast hot for us, he did it but his approach has been changed to us when we asked that. Also, on the 2nd evening, we wanted to get a coffee and the reception said that we can drink our coffee at the restaurant. So we did. And with this information, we got our coffee and went to to the same restaurant on the 3rd day's morning. After that, another reception worker came and warned us about we should not use the restaurant because of the COVID rules with a very rude attitude and she blamed us because of that. So the workers' communication is horrible. We felt quite bad about it and wanted to leave the hotel as soon as possible. I did not enjoy my holiday. I paid 202 EUR and I am super regretful. I will not recommend the Mercure Hotel to any of my friends and family anymore.

We booked for the special Christmas days — not too busy given the Corona restrictions . But we didnt feel any warmth from staff or anything that makes it a special stay. No warm holiday greetings in person or holiday message inside the room. We’ve stayed in other Accor hotels during Christmas in France, Morocco, and the MiddleEast, and we have been “spoiled” i guess with the “special treatment” esp, during holidays. Also, there’s no other options for pillows. The one we had was too hard. The second breakfast was also not coordinated well. We ordered the night before our brekki for the morning. We had to wait up to 8am as on sunday they only serve brekki at that time. It was difficult for our 5-yr old son to wait (he normally eats at 7am), but we managed. Only to be told that our order was somehow misplaced and they couldnt find it. Kitchen had to prepare our order again. Our son was already upset and unruly for a much more delayed breakfast. Then, they found that our order was in the take-away pile or so. Phew! We have to note that the breakfast to go was quite geenrous. Thanks for that!

The staff were friendly and helpful. The room was smaller than the Accor hotels in Australia but very cosy and comfortable. The bed was Good, the bathroom was excellent with great water pressure and very hot. We didn’t eat in the restaurant because it was booked out at the time we wanted to eat(we had booked a movie before arriving at the hotel). Was a bit out of town, about 3km. Would love to stay here again.

We have stayed in this hotel many times and are most of the times very happy, especially with the very nice staff in the restaurant and bar. Always a good breakfast with fresh orange juice. However, this time we got a room that was ice cold and when trying to get the heating on, the thermostat made a terrible noise and was not possible to turn off even after having turned off the heating (just a little bit less noisy). The beds are not made for two people if you don't have the same weight because you will fall down on the heavier person. For the second night we got another room where the heating worked, but still very, very cold bathrooms! Another strange thing is that you don't get body lotion any longer and when I asked the cleaning lady for it she said they didn't have it, but when my husband asked he got it. Would be nice if it could be in the room from the beginning. I am a Platinum member and have stayed at this hotel for about 7 years, twice a year, but next time we will probably try something else.
