Great Service, Warm Hospitality

Stayed in Sofitel Saigon Plaza for a business trip. Very efficient but warm service from Tony, upon check-in. Coming from an early flight, I arrived in the hotel at 10 am, quite tired. I asked if we can be accommodated for an early check-in as a Gold Accor member, since I still have to attend a convention in the afternoon. Tony facilitated my check-in quite fast and asked me to have breakfast first in the hotel’s cafe resto while waiting for my room to be prepared. In a few minutes, he went to the hotel cafe and personally handed over my room key and informed me that my room is available. Such a warm welcome and a great start for this business trip. The room’s space is well-appointed and very comfortable, with everything that you need during travel. Room clean-up is right on schedule. Everytime I return to my room after a day’s work, the place is always freshly cleaned up and sheets are changed for a relaxing rest at the end of the day’s hustle and bustle. When we asked for advice for places where we can eat, the concierge has adviced us of the nearby restaurants that we can go to, within walking distance from the hotel. Breakfast has good variety and a lot of choices for Asian, American and other international cuisine. Their pho is very commendable, compared to those we tried in other restos outside. We also had dinner in their restaurant, food is well-prepared and delicious but reasonably priced All in all, for the warm and professional service of the Sofitel staff, which is expected for Sofitel’s chain, I would recommend for your stay in Ho Chi Minh.

Leon was an amazing worker at the hotel. he was very kind and helpful when everything went wrong with our room and helped us with it immediately. We really appreciate hospitality and will never forget what’s he’s done for us. The hotel it’s self had many problems we had problems with or rooms and other things.

What an excellent establishment under the Sofitel and Accor banners. Our check in was seamless and to our surprise we had been upgraded to an executive suite. This hotel is centrally located in the city and not far from the airport which was a reasonable fare by taxi - VND150,00 or $9 AUD. Very close to all city amenities for shopping or sightseeing tours. The staff were friendly and extremely helpful in every manner. The facilities here were faultless and the restaurant were very pleasant with good food selection. Thank you Sofitel for a very enjoyable stay - we will be back.

Sumptuous respite in a busy city

I chose to stay here as I like to stay at Accor hotels when the opportunity arises in a country I’m visiting, I feel safe and the comfort level is always reliable. Initially I had room 616 and it was really noisy, you can hear the road traffic so I moved to room 904 which was quieter. There is construction going on across the road by that room so in the morning and late at night until about 11/midnight they would be working which you could hear. The room was just about high enough to not hear the humdrum Of the traffic so if your a night owl the late night construction shouldn’t be an issue. My room was very spacious, a walk in shower, a cosy chair by the window and a comfortable chair at the desk to do some work. The bed was really comfortable and the pillows were like sleeping on a cloud. The pool area had great city views, was a really nice size and never felt overcrowded. There were 2 wicker pods plus a decent amount of sun loungers plus a pool bar. If time allows I highly recommend a little jaunt to ministry of men. Lots of theatrics with their cocktails, it’s small but feels intimate rather than claustrophobic. I would say do not hesitate to go for the room that includes breakfast!!! immense selection of world wide cusines, fresh to order pancakes, waffles, crepes, French toast. Great selection of fruits, juices, little banh mi station and Pho station. The staff are really lovely, Nguyén was always ready to help with any order, making a fun bahn mi ice cream sandwich or just saying hello. It’s very well located and walking distance to a range of places including less than 5 minute walk to the zoo, history museum as well as being close to palace of independence and war remnants museum too.
