Stunning views from the hotel. Service was excellent. The room was modern, clean and comfortable. There was a per day charge for parking ($NZ30) as a member of the hotel chain but that seemed reasonable coming from the east coast of the US. The staff gave great local recommendations and the location is fantastic for walking into town. Many restaurants are only 200-300m away. There is a notable 1 block uphill walk to the hotel from the main area. Accessible hotel laundry was great after some skiing and other outdoor activities.

We loved the comfortable pretty room. Plenty of room, warm bed and nice lounge. Food at restaurant was excellent. Front desk staff- nice and polite but only criticism we had an Accor voucher that was accepted day one, then as we checked out decided they wouldn’t accept. There was a spilled drink at the front door and which the sticky remains stayed for the whole week we were there. Otherwise. Nice and warm. Lovely views from the restaurant.

Nice hotel, very cosy, good ambience. Nice walk into town. We had a one bedroom apartment with lake view. Very nice room however, I wish we were told that our windows were slanted. We had to bend down in order to see the view each time. More cutlery and waste bags in room would have been nice.

went there for company conference, AV support is below par in comparison to other hotels we have been. You had outdated instruction - where staffs are confused and we were following instruction for technology that does not exist anymore. When the right person came, he told us the different way to connect and we finally made the connection. What was supposed to be simple became hard. We are talking about projecting what is on laptop to your projector system and screen. Basic fallback plan to use HDMI cable to connect to laptop and projector was not available. Asked the hotel manager for 15 metre or longer hdmi cable to connect from wall port to podium, he said yes but never deliver, typical BS lip service. We had to put laptop on different location because the only hdmi cable you had was a short one. I asked the staff where is your long one for backup and he said it dissapeared but never got replaced. On the last day, we need help to get screen down, projector on, etc and seems none can help. At the end i Just pushed the crestron menu and get everything done. During tea break, staff brought fruit platter with small plates, but did not bring forks until later. How are we supposed to dig into the fruit platter? use our hand? Another incident - we had scones which were dry , hard and none brought butter for us to serve with scone. Hotel wants to be environmental friendly but there was no filling station for the drink bottle?

Dear Samuel, My sincere thanks for your review here albeit gutting to read. Being in a role where I am delivering presentations regularly, I understand completely the stress of technology not working well. To top it off you had confused staff trying to assist and only to make matters worse. I'm so sorry this happened. Confident AV training is a priority for us, as is ensuring the AV we have is in excellent working order. The primary omission here in my opinion was that we missed arranging an AV check well in advance of your meeting. This would have alleviated every stress on both sides and delivered you the seamless experience you should have expected. Thank you for choosing us.
