Stayed here for three night, not normally in the area I would stay but choices were limited. Having read other poor reviews I would have to say I’m very surprised based on my stay. Firstly the location. About a 10/15 min walk from the train station. Despite what I’ve read about it being a rough area I found it the opposite. A very vibrant place with a lively street market. Very clean and super safe. Never had a single problem The hotel itself was super clean and a typical ibis. The room was as described and had the pod style bathroom which I like as it’s easy to keep clean and fully functional. The hotel is located next to a busy road, but with the windows closed you cannot hear a thing The hotel is run by young staff but I found them super friendly and very helpful. There was a number of times frustrated guests were moaning that they had come to the wrong hotel as the ibis budget is a few doors down, but that’s hardly the fault of the staff. I’ve seen a few negative reviews about the breakfast and it’s clear to me that they must have never experienced a buffet breakfast before. To me the food was very good if your after a cooked breakfast, the non cooked was limited. The food was fresh enough for a buffet and the hot drinks were as they should be. The price was also very good for London. I also ate in the restaurant one evening and the food was good. I’m not sure why there are negative views I would most definitely stay here again.

Worst hotel ever !

Poorly ran , by young people who weren’t helpful, had people knocking on our door shouting room service and running away . The breakfast was dried up and wasn’t enough for all the guests . The coffee and hot chocolate was just hot water . Our room had dust everywhere . Blood stains on the carpet White dry stains on the side of the bed and sofa chair Bathroom door didn’t shut Toilet seat was disgusting Towels had what looked like Pooh stains Every time we left our room had to get the key card re-registered cos we couldn’t get in our room. The staff were rude unhelpful , I had to prove on my email I had paid for For breakfast for three people for four days as they argued I didn’t . And I never got an apology for their mistake . The staff wouldn’t change our room. They wouldn’t come look at the state of it either. Had to run to local tesco cos buy our own bedding as theirs was disgusting . Never again would I stay in this hotel. Worse I’ve stayed in in past 10 years of hotels stays . Needs management to step in and retrain reception staff , and housekeeping. And maybe give revelation staff lessons on being polite to customers . Utterly disgusted with this hotel .

Unprofessional hotel management- don’t trust!

Very disappointed with my stay at Ibis Barking hotel. The management doesn’t know how to handle noisy groups or properly allocate business and holiday guests. Despite requesting a room change in the morning, I never received a callback. The manager kept blaming kids for the noise, which is unacceptable. This hotel has gone downhill and is now just another Premier Inn.

A one night stay as near family. Lovely welcome..On ground floor. Reception area I thought was very tastefully decorated. Nice clean room..Everything we needed. Plug by mirror which is always a good thing for us ladies! Hairdryer supplied. Coffee tea facilities with decaf coffee but sadly no decaf tea. Our check out was 12pm which suited us perfectly Thanks...we'll be back!

Wouldn’t advise any contractors to stay here , renowned for van breaking, mine was done 8/04/24 between 6 pm and 7pm ,you get charged £8 for the privilege of using there car park and all they say is oh sorry Won’t be staying again, the budget ibis next door have same problem

Whilst I fully appreciate your concerns I would like to take the opportunity to confirm that there is extremely clear and prominent signage at our car park reminding users that vehicles are parked at owners risk as well as reminding you not to leave any valuable belongings unattended in your vehicle. This is the kind of signage that you would find in any other responsible private car park and it is in place to protect both you and your property. Any vehicle break in must be reported directly by the owner to the police and the hotel will be delighted to assist with their investigations as much as we possibly can. Best Regards. Jordi PENA
