Basic hotel ok for early morning bus

Very basic hotel but ok for one night and the fact the bus station is on the doorstep. Positives: Check in smooth and quick Clean room Comfortable double bed although quilt was quite thin and nothing like the photos Nice hot shower Allocated a room with a balcony Negatives: Very noisy at night with street traffic - probably worse than normal because it was the Africa Cup and Morocco had won a game that night! Very poor signal to tv making it impossible to watch Only given 2 bath towels which were very old and threadbare. We asked for 2 hand towels and a bath mat but was only given a bath mat. Keycard didn’t work on return and had to go back to reception to get re-programmed. It appears a lot of other guests had the same problem. I can’t comment on any other part of the hotel because we only needed a bed for the night. Would I stay again? Only for one night if I needed to catch a bus or train early morning. However I would also look at other hotels across the road first.

This hotel exceeded our expectations. We booked as we had a five am bus booked and wanted it to be as close as possible. The hotel room was very comfortable and quiet and the doorman took us over to show us the bus station the next morning at 4.45am

Terrible and unsafe experience

This hotel lets down the Ibis name - normally such a reliable option when travelling abroad but this hotel fell extremely below standard. We felt uncomfortable and unsafe during our 1 night stay. The most worrying thing was the lack of safety and privacy. When checking in, we were given the keycard to a room which someone else had already been booked in to - we only realised when trying to scan into the room. The staff then moved us into a different room. Around 9:30pm whilst in the room, the man at the front desk scanned a keycard and walked into our room. On seeing we were in there he quickly left, after which we walked into the corridor and asked him why he’d entered our room. He said “I have the right to walk in any room” and gave no other explanation. He then told us there was a lock on the door we could use if we were concerned, we then took him back into the room and showed him there was no lock on the door. He then told us that no rooms on our floor had a lock. In addition, the hotel room was extremely dirty, there were ants in the room and bathroom and the showers had mould in them. Towels had stains on and smelt of damp. Shampoo and shower gel bottles were all empty. I don’t often write reviews or get such a bad impression from a hotel, but I would really like to urge people to not book into this hotel.

Can I please have a napkin ! Can I please have a tea spoon ! Can I please have hot water in the shower !. The staff are pleasant

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Great experience at Ibis Centre Gare! The staff was very welcoming and friendly from the moment I arrived. The garden is peaceful and beautifully maintained, a perfect spot to relax. The bar has a cozy and inviting atmosphere, ideal for enjoying a drink after a long day. Highly recommended!
