Thank you again for your hospitality during my stay at Mercure Jakarta Kota especially for the front office. I always love to have room upgrading at this hotel due to my Platinum member status. I will stay to this hotel again for the next trip.

Second visit not experience a great service.

It's my second visit to this hotel. The room was quite large and the service was great. But this second visit I have to give average rate. We found small shards of glasses and my husband almost injured by it. I reported to operator and front desk and NO ONE APOLOGIZED for this happened. I requested to vacuum the room and I had to call twice before they came. But overall the other service was great.

The hotel is old but its really worth every single cent. The staff is very friendly. Rooms are well maintained and clean. The atmosphere and surrounding is very comfy (feeling like you are in the 80's. Well done Mercure Jakarta Kota.

Booked thr Agoda cheaper than Accor

Hotel is OK in the centre of Jakarta City, but I found out booking through Agoda or Traveloka or Hotel.com are much cheaper than book through Accor, even I booked through the member's website. So I advise should through several online travel website than trust your own membership club.

Some items for action: elevators need servicing - some buttons don't work and makes it confusing which lift works. internet speed slow especially at night - unable to do much other than watch a spinning wheel. need replacement lounge chairs at pool - only 3 out of 6 left. smoke at the bar when just passing by is like a smoke bomb. fitness center temperature and room temperature variable each day. Sometimes feels like AC is off, other times it is comfortable.

Hotel outlook is old but internal layout was good , Good location , friendly staff but the room i was staying needs to be improve , there was strong stench of urine from the carpets and worst if the aircon was switch off , even the toilet had the same problem, Room cleaning service need to be review , the carpet floor was not vacuum, tissues and toilet amenities were not replaced . The Fridge was not cold

Poor front office and check-in process

We waited for around 20minutes just to be served at check-in counter even when they have the accor loyalty check-in desk but seems like everyone not even a member can use it, even worse our child was having fever n better be in the room yet none of the officer there offering any help or make some initiative, this is by far my worse checkin experience ever in a hotel and any of accor hotel

My one wish: make this a smoke free hotel. All the "green" initiatives in the world are not as important as clean air. It is almost comical how many local people smoke. I feel like I am being transported back in time to 50 years ago before anyone knew the dangers of smoking.

Surprisingy nice hotel stay

I decided to visit Jakarta on a whim since I had never been there before and received a good rate by the Mercure Jakarta Kota which included a really nice breakfast. The hotel was right in front of an MRT stop which was very handy as the traffic is terrible and the MRT has it's own lane. The staff at the hotel made me very comfortable and I especially liked interfacing with the front desk personnel. I am an elderly solo female traveler and am very grateful to the hotel for all the assistance they gave me while visiting a complicated, crowded city. There are several Mercure Hotels in Jakarta. Mine was not particularly new but everything worked and was very clean.

Usual nice weekend getaway at Mercure. The staff friendliness and customer service is the highlight of this property. Fitness center continues to improve with new equipment but the AC is still not enough for the blasting heat.

Thanks for Michelle, Lintang and front office manager Sutiyono. They presented themselves professionally to make my stay even more enjoyable. The hotel itself is old but it offers different experience than other Mercure hotels. Someday I will return to this hotel.

Room looks a bit old but very specious. Shower is hot and powerful. Air con is in good condition. No bad smell. Only problem is less choices in hotel dinning but bunch of small food shops and restaurants at the next corner of the hotel.

This was an amazing night when i stayed at Mercure Jakarta Kota. Their staff is feel welcome very well. So much fun stay, so much fun the atmosphere! But, honestly sometimes the wifi is so poor, slowly, hope it just in our room. Overall, I deserve best stay at Mercure.

Goals for upcoming year should be to make the hotel smoke free. The secondhand smoke stinks up the entire property and affects the staff's and guest's health. Smoking floors does nothing as the ventilation is the same throughout the hotel. I stay on a non-smoking floor and my unworn clothes in the room smell like an ash tray when I return home. The smoking culture must change. I noticed the new soap provided is a different brand that breaks in pieces immediately when using - go back to the former vendor.

I have stayed at Mercure -Kota many times, I am a platinum member. It just seems the Indonesian guests just ignore the non-smoking signs, and smoke anyway! Even on my floor guest were outright smoking. had on several occasions to report smoking to the front desk. When I arrived in Thailand at the Mercure in Chang Mai, their hotel is Non-smoking with financial penalties if you smoke! Besides breaking the rules,SMOKING is a health hazard, including second hand smoke. Due to the smoking at Mercure-Kota I had to have all my clean clothes washed, due to the stench of cigarette smoke. While the air-conditioning is good, it blows cigarette filled air into your room. The carpets are dirty, they need to be cleaned or replaced. The gym needs a new bike and treadmill, as they are very old and dated.

Stayed here for 2 nights..staff is very helpful since I check in till check out. Got special treatment for Accor Plus Platinum member, booked superior room but got free upgrade to executive deluxe room. Complimentary fruit in the room, and the very special one is allowance to check out at 5.30 PM. Wish I can get back here soon when travelling to Jakarta. Thanks.

A very nice city view, especially if your window facing the west direction. A small area that set as a 'virtual' balcony is nice. The only small complain is that the welcome drink was unexpected... I was only given a small glass of orange juice...... about 70ml? .... :)

Hotel accommodation, Massage & payment

The hotel was quite run down, the bathtub had paint coming off, the wall is badly maintained with mold forming in the corners. The toilet paper was not replenished. Other than that, the place is only so-so. Missing room service menu, i ordered first dinner was more than 1 hr, and i asked for a bucket of ice which never came at all, but the service staff was very courteous though, The counter staff let some weird loitering supplier which was very suspicious looking, which made me felt really uncomfortable. The suspicious person was there the whole in the lobby, from the time i checked in and till the day i checked out. The in-hotel fitness & spa, staff at the counter was nice and courteous, i have asked for a massage for 2 hours but however during the massage it was reduced to 1 hour as of the staff's choice and massage was in a hurry, I was told to come back the next day if i m interested in a longer session. I was told i need to pay for the hotel amount + 300K for the deposit, but the receipt clearly indicated that the amount to be paid at hotel was 0.00. The staff insisted that it was not charged, but however, i did not have the chance to check my card as the internet was terrible.

For the 300 K deposit it is our hotel regulation to collect the deposit upon check in, you can use that deposit for in room service or any other services that by the end could be charge to your room. In other hand should you not use your deposit we will give back to money to you with the same amount that you give to us. Hopefully we can welcoming you back at Mercure Jakarta Kota.
