Great views at breakfast. Bed was very comfortable and the breakfast options were good. Most of the staff were friendly and enthusiastic. The hot tubs were a nice feature. I was disappointed with a breakfast item being labeled as vegetable samosa when it actually contained chicken. Not ideal as I’m vegetarian. I liked that there were separate landfill and recycling bins but again disappointed to see the person emptying them tipped them both out into the same bin so that defeats the whole purpose.

We have enjoyed every stay we have had at the Mercure. As we couldn't get into our Fernhill house we stayed for 3 days at Mercure. Your hotel is superb. However your staff are exemplary. Everyone has been so personable and professional. Give a shout out to Fuo, who managed the bar every night we were there. He is awesome as a manager. Such a joy to deal with. NZ needs more people like him. Also well done with your happy hour. Each night involved having friendly chats with various people. We had a great stay. Garry and Deborah (406)
