Comfortable stay in a hotel somewhat out of town Regular use of the funicular and a pleasant walk to the old town with it’s many attractions Cab or bus also available Good breakfast but other food was average at best Staff were generally good and they handled our language difficulties skillfully

We had a short but pleasant stay. The view from our balcony was unforgettable, and it was cool to ride the funicular and enjoy the little amusement park attached to the hotel. The room was clean and the bed super comfortable, especially with a cool ocean breeze and the sound of the lapping waves. One small issue was not knowing to tell the person at the security gate that we were hotel guests to avoid paying the parking fee the first time.

An overnight stay en route to the ferry at Santander. Room 327 was well-appointed and comfortable, with a balcony and a stunning view over the bay. An excellent, self-service breakfast made our stay even more enjoyable. A warning to drivers - our satnav took us up to Monte Igueldo on steep and winding route that, at the top, was closed off. There are two routes to the hotel. Eventually, we found the correct one, via Paseo Igueldo. But, it's lovely when you get there!
